ISA ensures all new students have a smoother transition especially coming from India to start their studies at UNBF.

Hi All,
At this moment, I Srikanth Narayanan and all my executive members ( Chandan, Kirat, Rishima, Harish (6 months), Kedar (4 months) would like to thank all Indian student members for their kind support and believed in us. We have organised major events such as Diwali night, welcome party, BBQ+membership drive, Karaoke nights as well as other activities(Movie night,cricket practice and screening of T-20 matches also. Our team has increased the current fund position by surplus than the amount of previous year(actual is with Rishima).
As we all know that new executive members got elected for this term (2014-2015). Now Its official that my team tenure is coming to an end by this day.I do believe that the ISA community will extend the same support to them. Lets join with me to welcome the new executive members saying congratulations and good luck to them.

Hi Everyone,
There is going to be a cultural Night being organized that is scheduled on January
15, 2015 at 5:30 pm at St. Anne's Court, Fredericton having theme as INDIA. The organizers are looking for performers who would like to showcase their talent at the function. The function starts with supper followed by a Cultural program from 6.45 pm to 8.00 pm. Address and contact details are given below. Performance could include anything singing, dancing (any style -> Bollywood, western, jazz, hip hop and most renowned " Free Style"). Interested participants can contact the undersigned.

Its high time and we are just 2 weeks away from a big event i.e. Diwali Mela 2014 being held on November 15, 2014. I hope you guys are also waiting for it desperately just like me . The tickets are really getting sold at a fast pace than we expected. I have few tickets left with me. I encourage you guys to take your tickets from me as soon as possible because if tickets are gone, then it would be very difficult for us to arrange.

Dear friends,
With immense pleasure and excitement, we would like to inform you that the Association of Indo-Canadians in partnership with the UNB Indian Student Association is celebrating the Festival of Lights (DIWALI MELA) on Saturday, November 15th, 2014 at the UNB Sub-Atrium at 5:30 PM. The evening will be a fun way to celebrate Diwali with family and friends, meeting other people in the community and to welcome all new families and students to Fredericton.
The celebrations will include an authentic Indian dinner along with a 2 hour musical concert by Shweta Subramanian’s band from Ontario (www.shwetasubram.com) featuring Urban and Bollywood music.
Shweta Subram is a highly accomplished vocalist. Her focus is Urban and Bollywood music. Shweta has performed across the world, shared the stage with elite names in Bollywood, featured in various TV shows, and has some prestigious awards to her credit. Shweta has performed with Bollywood maestros Salim-Sulaiman at the prestigious IIFA awards. We encourage you to visit above website to see quality of performances given by her group.
The cost of ticket is $20.00 for adults, $12.00 for students and $10.00 for children’s (age 5-15 yrs.) and can be purchased by contacting following :

Based on past experience, tickets for Diwali mela are sold out very quickly. Therefore, we are going to reserve 100 tickets for our members till Oct. 17. Thereafter, remaining tickets will be released to general public.

On the day of event we will need 15 volunteers to support us at different levels. We request all our members and young adults, who are interested to come forward and register their name by October 31st. All volunteers will be presented a certificate at the end of the program.
