Sharing on behalf of The New Brunswick Health Council:
I’m reaching out to you from the New Brunswick Health Council (NBHC) to ask for your support in promoting the Population Health Survey. This important initiative aims to gather essential data on the health and well-being of New Brunswickers aged 18 and older within our NBHC communities. We would like to ask for your support in promoting the survey within your network.
As key community resources, having your support in encouraging participation in the survey will help us collect results that are truly representative of the communities you serve.
What is the survey about?
The survey collects valuable information on:
Health status and factors that impact health: Including general health, chronic conditions and factors such as physical activity and smoking behaviours.
Healthcare needs and barriers: Identifying unmet needs and obstacles individuals face in accessing health care services.
The insights gathered from this survey will be helpful for healthcare providers, policymakers, and community leaders to: plan and deliver more effective healthcare services, address health disparities and improve community health. These are likely important issues for your communities.
What’s in it for you?
The more people who take part, the more local and demographic data we can publish. This means more relevant, actionable data to aid in your decision-making.
How can you help?
We kindly request your assistance in spreading the word about the survey and encouraging participation. You can help, for example, by doing the following:
Between now and the end of April
Connecting us with other champions: If you know of other organizations or individuals (for example, social media influencers) who would be good partners in promoting our survey, we’d appreciate you connecting us.
Starting the week of March 17th (when we will have materials available for download/sharing)
Including information about the survey in your newsletters and communications: Raising awareness of the survey among your members.
Sharing our social media content: Amplifying the survey message through your social media channels by sharing our posts.
Displaying our promotional materials: Printing and displaying our posters in high-traffic areas within your communities.
Helping with survey completion: If you work directly with the public, offering support to clients who may need assistance in completing the survey online.

Please expect to hear back from me next week with content that you can share. In the meantime, if you have any questions or ideas, feel free to contact me.
We appreciate your partnership in helping us reflect the diverse needs of our communities, and we look forward to providing you with valuable data in return.
