We’re coming together to help the students at Barkers Point School head into the new school year feeling prepared, confident and ready to learn! 💙
Along with Angela Landry - EXIT Realty Advantage , Bragdon Realty and Bev Bennett - Fredericton Realtor we are collecting much-needed school supplies, indoor sneakers and outdoor play equipment. Every donation, big or small, can make a difference for a local student.

BPS Open House & Staggered Entry

Open House: September 3, 4:00–5:30 p.m.
Come meet your teacher and visit your classroom!

Please bring your child’s indoor sneakers and any other items from their school supply list.

Staggered Entry
Kindergarten: Staggered entry on September 8th and 9th.
Grades 1 & 2: Students will come on September 8th but not September 9th.
Grades 3, 4 & 5: Students will come on September 9th but not September 8th.
Everyone: All students will attend on September 10th.

We can’t wait to welcome our BPS students and families back for a great school year!

Our summer lunch program begins TODAY! We are partnering with Fredericton Community Kitchens "Student Hunger Program" to deliver a Summer Lunch program. From July 6 to August 28, visit the library to pick up a free brown-bag lunch! (Vegetarian and nut-free).

Notre programme de déjeuners d'été commence AUJOURD'HUI ! Nous nous associons au programme « Student Hunger » des Fredericton Community Kitchens pour mettre en place ce programme de déjeuners d'été. Du 6 juillet au 28 août, rendez-vous à la bibliothèque pour venir chercher un déjeuner gratuit à emporter ! (Végétarien et sans fruits à coque).

As another school year comes to a close, we want to thank all of our amazing staff for the countless hours spent teaching, planning, preparing, volunteering at events, and caring for our students—both on and off the clock. Your dedication does not go unnoticed.

A special thank you goes out to our bus drivers, who safely transport our students to and from school each day. Through early mornings, changing weather, and busy schedules, your commitment, patience, and care help ensure our students arrive safely and ready to learn. We are grateful for everything you do.

We wish all of our students, families, staff, and bus drivers a wonderful summer filled with fun, relaxation, and new adventures. Thank you for making this school year such a memorable one. We can’t wait to hear about your summer adventures when we return in September!

Today we welcomed Leo Hayes High School graduates back to Barkers Point School for a special Grad Walk—right where their educational journey began!

It was wonderful to see such a great turnout and to watch these graduates return all grown up and ready for their next adventure. We are so proud of all they have accomplished and can’t wait to see what the future holds for them.

Wednesday Reminders

Tomorrow is another busy and exciting day at BPS!

A few reminders:

Please remember to wear your Team Colours for our Colour Team activities.💙💛❤️💚
Students will participate in Move-Up Day, where they will visit the grade level they will be in next year.
We will also be enjoying our Family Picnic, and the weather is looking beautiful for the afternoon.
To end the day, we will welcome the Leo Hayes High School graduates back to BPS for a special walk through the halls where their educational journey began.
It should be a wonderful day filled with fun, celebration, and reflection. We look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow!

UPDATE: power is back!!

FYI: The school does not have power at the moment. Students will be dismissed at the regular time.

Grad Walk is tomorrow, Wednesday June 17 from 1-2pm! We can’t wait to see you and hear about your future plans! Congratulations to all the graduates! 🐾💙🎓
