We’ve officially rescheduled our 80th Anniversary Open House to Saturday, November 28, 2026!

We’re excited to announce that this event will now be open to alumni, prospective students, families, and anyone interested in learning more about the Maritime College of Forest Technology!

👏🌲 Congratulations to our first-year MCFT student, Nicholas Patton, recipient of the 2026 Forest NB Family Strickland Scholarship!

Congratulations to the recipient of the 2026 Forest NB Family Strickland Scholarship Nicholas Patton, who is studying at the Maritime College of Forest Technology. Nicholas' father, Darrell, works at AV Group NB in the woodlands division.

Forest NB has awarded the Ernie Strickland Memorial Scholarship annually since 1998 to forest sector family member. This memorial scholarship honours Ernie Strickland, who was an instructor at the Maritime Forest Ranger School and a dedicated volunteer to the forestry sector. The scholarship is administered by the MCFT Alumni association.

Lunch with a view at Crabbe Mountain as MCFT partners with Crabbe to train students on brushsaw and deal with encroaching vegetation, as well as cruise the forest for a forest management plan.

Also happening is the 60th annual Nicolis Campbell Memorial Woodsmen Competition at UNB, allowing for a trip down the hill to catch our teams in action.

Our students are excited to be working alongside DNR again this year at the moose registration station this Tuesday through Friday from 10 AM to 4 PM!

Students are helping collect data by measuring snouts, weighing moose, and doing tick counts.
