One $12,000 Engineering Scholarship per year awarded in memory of Thom Washburn to a graduate of a high school in Fredericton, NB.

In 2022 applications for the Thomas Washburn Memorial Engineering Scholarship may only be submitted by filling out a form on line and submitting it by email to the Fredericton Community Foundation. This form will be published before March and a link to it will be provided on this Facebook site. The application will only be valid if received before April 1, 2022.

The 2021 winner of the Thom Washburn Engineering Scholarship is Rebekah Kierstead, a 2021 graduate of Leo Hayes High School. Congratulations Rebekah!

The scholarship is open to any Fredericton area high school student who will be studying engineering at a university in Canada this Fall.

The Scholarship in memory of Thomas Washburn is being offered to students at the high schools in Fredericton, NB Canada who are about to graduate in 2021. It is worth $2000 per term for the first six terms of engineering study at any accredited engineering program offered at a Canadian University. Applications must be received by March 31 at the office of the Fredericton Community Foundation.

NO THOMAS WASHBURN SCHOLARSHIPS IN 2020
We regret that we are unable to award the Thomas Washburn Memorial Engineering Scholarship in 2020. The scholarship is normally awarded every year' giving the new winner $2000 a term for six terms.
As a result of the pandemic in 2020, the income from the scholarship fund at the Fredericton Community Foundation has been reduced. There should be enough to assist the previous winners who are about to start second and third years. But there will not be enough income to award a new scholarship in 2020
