🎉 Congratulations to our MScKin student, Alana Gaunce, on receiving funding through the MSSU Trainee Support Program!

Alana’s research investigates whether drinking kefir daily during pregnancy can support blood sugar regulation, improve the gut microbiome, and reduce the risk of gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM). Through a patient-oriented randomized controlled trial, the study will evaluate the effects of kefir while incorporating input from patient partners with lived experience of GDM.

Congratulations, Alana, on this well-deserved achievement! 👏❤️🖤
