🎓 A huge congratulations to Dominique Drost on an outstanding achievement!

Dominique was named the recipient of the CSEP Award, recognizing excellence and leadership, and was also been honoured with the prestigious UNB Lieutenant Governor's Silver Medal at yesterday's graduation ceremony.

These accomplishments reflect Dominique’s hard work, dedication, and commitment —both inside and outside the classroom. You’ve truly set the bar high and made the Kinesiology community incredibly proud!

Congratulations to Dr. Martin Sénéchal on receiving a University Research Fund (URF) Established Explore Stream award for 2026–2027!

Dr. Sénéchal’s funded project, “Comparing Lactate Elimination and Accumulation across Recovery Intervals in Highly Trained Female and Male Endurance Runners: The CLEAR Study,” will advance our understanding of physiological recovery in elite endurance athletes.

While on sabbatical, Martin Sénéchal has taken his work to Australian Catholic University, where he is spending six months collaborating on world‑class exercise, human metabolism and performance.

The Faculty of Kinesiology is proud to house Canada's first PEA POD, as explained in a recent in-depth CBC article.

UNB lab welcomes Canada’s first infant chamber to measure metabolism | CBC News The University of New Brunswick has welcomed a new addition to its Pediatric Health and Development Studies (PEADS) Laboratory — a custom-engineered infant metabolic chamber that will allow researchers to measure an infant’s metabolism as early as Day 1.

☕ Kinesiology Career Café

Last week, students from one of the first-year core Recreation and Sport Studies courses (RSS) and our fourth-year RSS capstone were invited to take part in the Kinesiology Career Café. Students rotated among partner tables to learn about their work, the organization, and potential career pathways in the field. This was also an opportunity to gain insight into the field of Recreation & Sport, and connect academic learning with professional possibilities.
