Historical ,Hysterical or Hypothetical? Approaching Bible Study

Our 'general view' of the Bible will in a large part determine what we believe about it's teachings. Hebrews 1:1-2 gives a general view that allows for supernatural events, miraculous events and literal superhuman feats, while at the same time making the main focus on what came from the heart of God and the mind of Christ.

"God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets hath in these last days spoken unto us by his son whom he hath appointed heir of all things by whom also he made the world."

The Bible, as a book of divine influence requires:

I. A contemplative approach
Read it for what it is, not for what you've been 'told' that it is. Many premises have been put forth as absolute truth but since the Bible itself says we are to "try (test) the spirits', we need to follow this consistently and challenge every concept we here, even from our own religious leaders.

2. A curiosity approach

Intellectual study of the Bible does not lead us to the divine wisdom that God has infused into the narratives of the Bible. We need to wonder why there is so much conflict among those who study the Bible for surface meaning and doctrinal content. If "the wisdom from above is first of all pure then peaceable, gentle and easy to be intreated..." (James 3:17) then all Christian theologians should be getting along and in agreement, rather than calling each other 'heretics' and false teachers.

3. A Cognitive approach

We are tri-partite beings just like God himself. This is part of being made in the image of God. "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you an expected end." (Jeremiah 29:11) God 'thinks about his thoughts' and we have the power of 'meta-cognition'. The thoughts of God are equivalent to the 'mind of Christ'.

My general view of the Bible is that it is "a creative expression of the process and advancement of human consciousness."

Keep this in mind when you read the Scriptures for the heart of God is revealed all through the Old Testament and the mind of Christ is an open book in the Gospels.

SPIRIT LED INTUITION:
Theology is 'confusing' for there has never been a consensus of belief; 'coercive' in that dire warnings of judgment are given to motivate good behavior; 'closed' within sectarian boundaries and 'counter' to the simplicity of Christ's teachings.
[excerpt from my book:]
"Understanding the Bible is not a specialized study but is a spiritual discipline. All are capable of learning the truth that sets us free from unhealthy perceptions and negative mindsets.
The Apostle Paul repudiated his 'Pharisee Degree' and ritualistic practices because, as he explains in Philippians 3, finding the true righteousness of God and experiencing the mystic union with Christ was a more worthy path.
"But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ. Yea doubtless and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ." (Philippians 3:7-8)"

Intuitive Bible Study: A New Interpretive Model 03/31/2024

The four 'FORS' of Romans 10
Brethren(spiritual brothers and sisters), My heart's desire and continual , contemplative prayer for those who call themselves 'spiritual Israel' (Christians) is they they may be saved truly and not in name only.
FOR my personal experiences living among them has shown me that they have a genuine desire for the 'things of God' but not according to divine knowledge, only through a complicated list of misconceptions and assumptions.
FOR they, being unaware of God's true righteousness and going about trying to establish their own version of Christian consecration, have 'missed the mark' and not simply submitted themselves unto the pure, organic, natural and fulfilling righteousness of God.
FOR I have learned from my intimate, spiritual relationship with Christ, that this relationship is so complete and fulfilling that there is no need to create 'rules of righteousness'. Being 'in Christ' ends the burden of striving to 'try to please God'. This freedom is guaranteed to any and all that believe.
FOR the writings of Moses tell us of a set of standards, outward ceremonial rituals, that must be done in order to somehow get on God's good side. But the concepts of genuine righteousness remind us that our efforts cannot reach up to heaven and bring Christ down to help not can they assist Christ in his redemptive work.
This is not because Heaven is too far away or that we lack the power to descend into Hell and return. It is because Heaven and Hell are both a 'state of mind'. They are 'high' us.
And becoming aware of these concepts is the key to our path to spiritual freedom and growth. The 'word of faith' is the information past on to us directly from God.
As we act on this information without any assumed definitions and meanings to the actual words, Christ is 'born' in us and we "believe unto righteousness", the genuine salvation experience.

Intuitive Bible Study: A New Interpretive Model Churchianity is going strong but true Christianity is slipping away from the Master teacher, Jesus the Christ. When I set about to make this post, the software asked me; What's on your mind? This is exactly what I want to ask you. Whether or not you find peace of mind and a fulfilling life depends on what is 'on your mind'. The Bible uses the phrases, "think on these things" and "For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he." to express the need for self reflection. (Philippians 4:8; Proverbs 23:7)
Multitudes of Christians are coming to terms with the inaccurate teachings of the church. They are being given spiritual knowledge that has for centuries been held back by the subtle influences of "rulers of the darkness of this world' and "spiritual wickedness in high places". (Ephesians 6:12)
Jesus made it clear that the mindset is the key to finding the 'truth that sets us free'. We need to 'have an ear to hear' is a direct quote phrase of the master teacher. It is a gift to have Christ 'open the eyes of your understanding'.
The millions of those who call themselves Christian are not the remnant that the Bible speaks of. It is those who have found the true Gospel, that Glorious Gospel of the teachings of Christ.

"BEWARE!", "GO BACK!", "You're Life is in Danger!" Oh. Wait! It's only almonds. It's okay Chicken Little, the sky is not falling in. Millions of people every day are being warned about such catastrophes as the Apocalypse, World wars, Cyber attacks and natural disasters. Millions every day are also warned of an eternal damnation in a lake of fire unless they accept the churches teachings of how to escape this.
This is a psychological tool, designed to cause a 'fear' that the church believes is beneficial for keeping people in line morally. This traumatizing of the innocents; those in the young, formative years; is veiled under the guise of the religious language of loving God and believing in the gentle Jesus of the synoptic Gospel stories.
The "rest of the story" is withheld until later when stories of a violent God come to light and the young person/young adult is given rationalizations for the inconsistent actions and attitudes of Bible characters.
The good news is that many are being set free from the effects of the subtle deception of that organization that, long ago, lost touch with the true message of Jesus the Christ. Jesus taught an inner transformation that leads to acts of true charity. Not outward acts of church attendance, tithing, praying in public, mission work, preaching, memorizing Bible verses or handing out gospel tracts.
We have missed both the message and the method that Jesus taught. Hence, the organized church has "established it's own righteousness" and not "submitted itself to the righteousness of God." (Romans 10:3)
What can we do as a church? as an individual believer? Do we have to do anything or are we alright just the way we are? How did this defection happen? Learn more in the book; 'Intuitive Bible Study A new Interpretive Model" available on amazon.com and amazon.ca.

There is a short song that was sung in churches during the 70's and 80's that went like this. "For me to live..is Christ, to die is gain...For me to live...is Christ, to die is gain...There is nor peace, no joy, no thrill..like walking in his will, for me to live is Christ..to die is gain."Christians have been subtly deceived for centuries concerning the meanings of Bible passages. The words of the song come from Philippians 1:21 and represent two of the main teachings of the first century scriptures. One is that simply existing should be enough for the believer and all worldly pursuits are to be suspended for "the end of all things is at hand."(I Peter 4:7) The other is that death is to be welcomed and desired for it is our release from "the body of this death" (Romans 7:24) that we are trapped in.
The first century Christians were to embrace these two concepts in a real sense and not just be mentally aware of them. Many of them did but the vast majority gave up believing in the soon return of their Messiah and religious activity replaced genuine works of righteousness.
This has continued to this day. Post modern Christianity does not in any way resemble the pattern of the first assemblies of Christ's followers. We attend buildings with walls behind which we talk of how terribly sinful those outside the walls are. We are simply a modern version of the arrogant, self deluded Pharisees.
How did this happen and what can we do about it?
I can give you information but cannot grant you the awareness to break free of the cloud of deception that keeps people under a spell of innocence.
In 2012 i was given a book that was used by God to show me things beyond the veil of deception that had kept me 'in the dark' all my life. Now I have written a book expressing the things I have learned about God, Christ, the Bible and other spiritual topics.
My mind has been renewed and as the old song says, "My chains fell off, my heart is free..."
Jesus Christ is waiting for you to sit and listen to his voice as he shows you the mysteries of "the glorious gospel". check out the book on amazon.com. It is called "Intuitive Bible Study-A new Interpretive Model.

Since I have been given the genuine salvation experience, I am like a 'kid in a candy store'. Every day, and many times moment by moment, there are glimpses of divine truth that come to mind as I review, re-study and ruminate on all that was taught before, while growing up in a church environment.
My eyes of understanding have been opened to see just how much I've missed of the soul affirming, spiritually healthy, concepts that are entwined in the mystery. parable and allegorical narratives of the Bible.
My way of viewing the Bible is now in a more comprehensive context intellectually. And the realities of the mysterious workings of the invisible realm are an actual part of my daily experience.
Although they are sincere, as was I, the church has caused much undue harm on their adherents. The mission of the Christ was (and is) to "set the captive free" and I have been released from the deceptions of the manipulating, traumatizing doctrines of eternal Hellfire and Universal sin, among others.
This page is a forum as well as a teaching platform to present the findings of my search for the divine. I make to bold statements of absolute authority and do not claim exclusive knowledge since it is impossible for anyone to know for sure the things concerning the ancient past, the spiritual realm or even the workings of the human mind.

The vast majority of Christians are not "new creatures" but are still the "old wineskins' dressed up in pious looking garb. The church has not produced a vibrant, spiritually growing community and the "bride of Christ" hath not "made herself ready" to be "arrayed in fine linen (the righteousness of saints) at the "marriage of the Lamb." (Revelation 19: 6-9)
We have been led to believe in a future, all-encompassing, sin-cleansing redemptive event. Theology has given us excuses for focusing on getting ahead rather than getting our hearts right with God. Emerging truth can set us free. The second coming took place at the first Pentecost after the crucifixion of the Messiah. In Acts chapter one (vs. 9-11) Jesus floated up and in chapter two (vs.1-4) the Holy Spirit floated down.

Definition of 'intuition' from the Oxford Dictionary- "the power of knowing or understanding something immediately without reasoning or being taught."
The Bible definition can be summed up as; self- directed thought under the guidance of the divine. Here are references to consider. "That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men but in the power of God. Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to naught: But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. but as it is written, eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. but God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. for what man knoweth the things of a man, save (except0 the spirit of man which is in him? even so, the things of God knoweth no man but the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God, that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual."(I Corinthians 2:5-15)
"Therefore let no man glory (make his boast) in men. for all things are yours. Whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come; all are yours. And ye are Christ's and Christ is God's." (I Corinthians 3:21-23)
