After graduating, Chris began his career at Canada Revenue Agency. Chris will talk about his time in university and co-op programs, how he made the move to the workplace, and what kinds of jobs and career paths are available at CRA.

Deji Adetunji will be joining us this week. Deji is a Manager, Financial Reporting and Accounting Operations at Aha Insurance. Deji formerly worked as Audit Assistant Manager - PwC UK. At his upcoming talk on Thursday, he'll walk us through his professional journey, positioning a career in Finance.

We are delighted to announce that the next UNB Finance Club Alumni Speaker Session will take place from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 24, 2021. (ADT). Justin Feng will be joining us this week. Justin is a Senior Investment Analyst at Mercer Global Investments. Justin formerly worked as a Quantitative Investment Associate at Vestcor. At his upcoming talk on Thursday, he'll walk us through his professional journey, a general overview of the industry, and some of his early experiences in the industry.

Hello, everyone.

We are excited to announce that we will be joined by David Wishart this Thursday, February 10th, 2022, from 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm (ADT).

David is the Head of RBC's Corporate Treasury division's Liquidity Parameterization team. He has a Master's degree in Economics from Dalhousie University, a Bachelor's degree in Business from Bishop's University, and he is a CFA Charter Holder. Under the pen name David Donaldson, he also wrote the book 'We Follow the Dying Light.

We will be doing a Q&A session with him regarding his career experience and the path he took to get where he is.

This Thursday, November 25th, from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM, we will be holding our weekly Finance Club activity session.

We will be screening “In Money We Trust?”, a fascinating public television documentary that explains what money is. We will have a quick conversation after the documentary about your thoughts on the content and how markets have changed since the documentary was recorded.

Pizza and Pop will also be available. There's no free lunch in the capital markets, but there is here!

Hello Everyone,

For our weekly UNB Faculty of Management Speaker Series session this week (Tuesday, November 16), we would be joined by our very own Prof Dinesh Gajurel.

The session would be hosted in a hybrid format with in-person happening at the Innovation Hub, Harriet Irving Library (UNB Libraries) and online through Teams. There will be pizzas and pops for in-person participants too!

About our speaker:
Dinesh is a professor of finance at the Faculty of Management, University of New Brunswick, Fredericton. His research interest and expertise include financial crises & contagion, corporate finance, asset pricing, high-frequency finance, and empirical finance. He has published papers in scholarly journals including the Journal of Banking & Finance, Applied Economics and Economic Systems.

Dinesh enjoys teaching and has a broad range of experience teaching in finance, from core courses such as introductory corporate finance and investments to advance courses such as applied quantitative finance, and financial derivatives. At UNB, he has been teaching Principles of Finance, Corporate Finance, Advanced Corporate Finance, Personal Financial Planning, Investments, International Finance, Entrepreneurship Finance, Business Data Analysis to BBA and MBA programs. Before joining UNB, Dinesh was at Trent University, University of Tasmania, and Tribhuvan University. Dinesh obtained his Ph.D. from University of Tasmania, Australia.
