Following a very successful Canadian immersion experience for six Japanese students, we have four Chinese grade 12 students joining us for an 8 week immersion experience, beginning Feb. 15th, in Vanderhoof. We have host placements for 3 of the students but are looking for a family that might be interested in hosting Ziren (Jeff). Ideally we would like a family that has students attending NVSS. We are excited to host six Japanese students from Yokohama this fall (Sept. 28 - Dec. 30) and have four placed in Vanderhoof and one in Fort St James. We would love to have one additional family in Fort St James to have two of these students experience FSJSS and the beautiful community of Fort St James. FSJSS and NVSS were pleased to welcome and tour Vice Principal Hiroshi Matsumoto and teacher Masatoshi Kitada of Yokohama Hayato High School from Japan. We will be welcoming six of their students at these two schools from October to December this fall. We hope you both enjoyed your day in our beautiful part of the world.

We have a group of very excited students, ages 9 - 15, and teachers visiting Vanderhoof from Jan. 20 - Feb. 1, 2019. They will be immersed in classes at WL McLeod, Evelyn Dickson and NVSS but we are in immediate need of families willing to host a student in their home for these 2 weeks. If you are interested or would like more information, please see your principal or email '[email protected]'. Please consider hosting an international student and sharing our January Winter wonderland with someone who has never experienced a Canadian winter.
