Today we hosted the 2026 District Speech Contest at ARYES. In all, 33 students from around the District participated in this event and the level of competition was outstanding. A big shout out to our three representatives from ARYES (Mackenzie, Trace & Noelle) who came First overall in team aggregate score. Also, congrats to Mackenzie who's individual speech came Third place. You all ROCK!

Today we had our Intermediate Speech Contest at ARYES. Students had previously shared their speeches in their classrooms and we had 17 advance to our school event today. Thank you to Mrs. Bester, Councillor MacDougall & Councillor Zabinsky for joining us to help judge the event and determine our three representatives for the District Speech Contest. Congrats to Mackenzie, Trace and Noelle who have advanced to the District event on May 27th. Great job to all who participated today. YOU ALL ROCK!

Thank you to SD60 Spirit of the Peace Dancers for your amazing performances. Our students and staff loved all the dances.

As we wrap up our badminton season at ARYES we wanted to recognize all the Grade 4-6 students that participated in our Grade level sessions throughout April. We also want to recognize our Badminton Team that represented ARYES at the District Championships and came First Overall as a team scoring 230 points. ARYES Individual Winners: Damon (3rd A Division Boys Singles), Trinity (3rd A Division Girls Singles), Trinity/Avariel (1st B Division Girls Doubles), Eleanora/Olivia (3rd A Division Girls Doubles), Damon/Breckin (2nd A Division Boys Doubles), Anton/Caleb (3rd A Division Boys Doubles). Great Job everyone. You all ROCK!

ARYES First Annual Easter Egg Hunt -
A big Thank You to the ARYES PAC for organizing our first annual Easter Egg Hunt. A fun time was had by all with POD A being the quickest Primary POD to find their eggs and POD E leading the way for the Intermediates. You All ROCK!!!

ARYES Ready, Set, Learn 2026

Anne Roberts Young Elementary School will be hosting our Ready, Set, Learn sessions starting Tuesday April 21st 2026 from 11:00-12:00pm. This is a program aimed at preschool children 3-4 years old. The goal is to prepare pre-kindergarten children for a positive start in their school journey and welcome them into our school community. This is a different event than our Welcome to Kindergarten which will be taking place early June for students entering Kindergarten in September 2026.

February Hot Lunch Menu will open tomorrow (January 9th) at noon and close on January 26th at midnight. Don't forget to get your orders in!

A reminder that tonight is our Mingle/Jingle at ARYES from 6-7pm. Come have some hot chocolate and enjoy some holiday fun!
