For those of you who have been around for a while, you may remember the old access road on the west side of the rodeo grounds main gate that connected the parking lot to the NPLHA arena main entrance.
Last year, we set a goal of reopening that roadway to improve traffic flow for everyone attending events at the grounds. While we didn't quite have it completed in time for this year's North Peace Rodeo, an incredible group of volunteers and local businesses stepped up and made it happen in time for the Energetic County Fair!
This project is another great example of what can be accomplished when our community comes together. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who donated their time, equipment, and hard work to make this a reality.

Onto our next event!! Looking for volunteers to help with parking, you get show passes as a bonus for helping out. Shoot us a message if you would like to join in the fun🎉
Arena closures are as follows:
On Saturday and Sunday, the 27th and 28th, the indoor arena will be reserved from 7am to 6pm for the Jim Anderson Clinic, hosted by the Working Equitation Club. Please note that this is a private event, and open riding or drop-ins will not be permitted.
Additionally the Rodeo Grounds will be closed starting today until Tuesday, the 29th, due to event setup, rodeo activities, and subsequent tear-down.
The outdoor arena will remain available for riding. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to seeing you at the rodeo this weekend.
Friendly Reminder that the NP Rodeo Flag Team will be holding a practice session in the outdoor arena from 6:30 to 8:30 this evening. Those interested in joining should reach out to Mia Pallister or Tara Myers. The indoor arena is still open for regular scheduled riding.

FORT ST. JOHN ROPING CLINIC
I will be trekking north for a breakaway and team roping clinic in Fort St. John on August 15 & 16. I don't normally teach clinics during the summer and am excited to have some on my calendar for 2026!
This clinic will start with groundwork and then move to roping the dummies while horseback making it an ideal clinic to get started in your roping career or work on proper fundamentals.
We will be in a relaxed teaching environment with prizes for attendees and have a whole lot of fun! The clinic is beginner and youth friendly!

A friendly reminder that Working Equitation has organized a play day for tonight, scheduled from 6-8. The event will take place outdoors if the weather permits, and will be moved indoors if necessary. All individuals are welcome to attend. Members can participate at no cost, while non-members can pay a drop-in fee inside the arena. Please be aware that a current Horse Council BC membership is required for participation. 🤗
