We are excited to invite all children to a special community VBS program coming to us from the Yellowknife SDA Church Team! 🎉 August 24-29 at 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Deninu Kue Adult Learning Centre, Fort Resolution.

All children are welcome to come out, enjoy the summer, and take part in a fun and engaging program. The VBS program will provide our children with opportunities to socialize, learn, make new friends, and have lots of fun in a safe and caring environment. 📚🎨🎶

On the last day of the children’s program, we will be hosting a Diabetic Health Walk for the community. All community members are warmly invited to come out, get active, and support a healthier community. 🚶🏽‍♀️🚶🏽‍♂️🌿

Yesterday, our students at Deninu School had the privilege of learning how traditional foods were produced and prepared, as Aunty Lilly, an Elder from our community, shared her knowledge and experiences passed down through generations.

We are deeply grateful to Aunty Lilly for taking the time to teach our students and help them reconnect with the traditional ways of those who came before us. We are so thankful for the Elders and community members who continue to share their knowledge and help keep our traditions alive for generations to come. ❤️

A few sweet moments from today’s Culinary Arts class! Our Grade 7–12 students had fun learning, baking, and creating together — and then proudly delivered their freshly baked cookies to our staff. ❤️

Even our Principal couldn’t resist taking a bite! 😋 The verdict was unanimous: soft, delicious, and baked just right. What a sweet way to end the evening!
