Is it summer yet?

REGISTRATION OPENS ON MARCH 1.

It is the moment we've been waiting for!

The KLKP team is excited about the line up of instruction for 2025, and you'll have a couple of weeks to think about your summer plans before registration opens on March 1, 2025.

And no.. our website is not quite updated..one thing at a time!

NOTE: We MAY be adding another guitar instructor to Week ONE and another fiddle instructor to Week Two if needed. But our new program, which we're calling "School of Rock" for lack of a more creative idea is going to be super fun, and we're not sure how it's going to affect our overall registration!

What is it you ask?

Each week a team of two instructors ( often with another assistant) will be helping participants to learn how to play in a band... with potentially drums, vocals, guitars, piano, bass, fiddle.. you name it! Even we won't know exactly what it'll look like until the registrations arrive and then we'll adapt based on who is in the class, and create a super-cool schedule. We're pumped about this idea, and we hope that you are too! The team we've put together have decades of experience in forming and nurturing bands, so what else can go right? Right?

And let's not forget about our Kids KLKP for people who'd like to send their child aged 6 - 12 ( ages 6 and 7 are day campers) and have them supervised by amazing camp counsellors and also work with our incredible music/ art staff ( Thank you to for the grant that makes this affordable!

ALSO our Bridge program allows parents to SEND your child ages 13 - 16 to KLKP with no adult, as we have a staff of teachers prepared to ride-herd over the teens and make sure their needs are being met while they are accessing our team of incredible music instructors.

Last year we sold out to capacity in 8 days . We don't want to "fear monger" but if you're interested, maybe act sooner than later, just in case that situation occurs again this year.

Thank you to the MID SUMMER'S art festival for their generous support, the Fort Qu’Appelle Legion for welcoming us back to their hall again this year and all the parents and students who sold tickets and helped things run smoothly.

Especially big thanks to Emily Dubois and Mike Walker for sharing their musical talents with us. The weather tried to play a joker on us this year. We couldn’t have done it without you!

We danced until we dropped. In my case a bit more literally than intended. Looking forward to dancing with everyone again in the future!
