Mini Miracle kids had a wonderful time celebrating Easter in a joyful and engaging environment. We were pleased to welcome Fort City Church (Kids City Team), who presented a special Easter program, and the excitement continued with a visit from the Easter Bunny, where the kids enjoyed taking photos and sharing in the experience. Our Annual Easter egg hunt was a great success, followed by a cozy pajama party filled with fun games and laughter. 🙂

Throughout the celebration, the children participated in Easter-themed sensory and soft play activities using items such as eggs, chicks, carrots, and pom-poms, which supported their ability to count, recognize colors, and develop fine motor skills. They also created thoughtful Easter projects for their parents by making centerpieces, exploring painting, and interacting with various props, all of which encouraged creativity and hands-on learning. Overall, the celebration provided a meaningful blend of fun, learning, and creative expression for all the kids.🐣🐰🌸

Mini Miracle Kids, had a delightful celebration of St. Patrick’s Day! ☘️🪙🍀💚

The children engaged in a variety of enriching activities, including creating festive crafts, participating in music class, and exploring sensory play by counting shamrock leaves with gold coins. Storytime featured engaging books centered around the spirit and traditions of St. Patrick’s Day.

As part of the celebration, kids also enjoyed a hands-on baking experience, making cookies together, and were provided with nutritious green fruits and vegetables during snack time.

It was a joyful and meaningful day filled with creativity, learning, and laughter. We are proud to provide opportunities that inspire both fun and educational growth for our children.😊

Mini Miracle kids had a wonderful and busy January/ February, especially as we celebrated Valentine’s Day during the month of February. The children enjoyed many fun and educational activities including crafts, painting, music classes, and art sessions.
Along with these activities, we always ensure that the children take part in important learning experiences such as:

•Outdoor play and exploration, giving the children opportunities for physical activity, fresh air, and social interaction.

•Baking activities, where the children help measure ingredients and count, developing early math and measuring skills.

•Music time, where they explore and learn to play different musical instruments. Music helps enhance cognitive abilities such as memory, attention, and spatial reasoning, while also supporting brain development and improving both fine and gross motor skills.

•Art classes, which encourage creativity and help expand children’s imagination, thinking, and communication skills.

• Sensory and water play, which helps strengthen fine and gross motor skills through activities like pouring and squeezing. It also promotes early learning concepts such as volume, sinking and floating, while providing a calming sensory experience that supports emotional regulation.

As a special highlight, we had the pleasure of welcoming a dentist to visit our Dayhome. She spoke with the children about the importance of brushing their teeth daily and maintaining good dental hygiene. The children truly enjoyed this educational visit and learned valuable habits for keeping their smiles healthy. :)

This past weekend, Mini Miracles Day Home had the pleasure of hosting our annual Christmas Party and Concert, a truly memorable and meaningful occasion for our children and families.
The children presented a lovely Christmas concert and Nativity play under the guidance of our dedicated music teacher, Mrs. Sarah. Their commitment and enthusiasm throughout weeks of practice were evident in their confident and heartfelt performances. Dressed in beautiful costumes, the children performed with great pride and joy.
We extend our sincere appreciation to Mrs. Sarah for her continued dedication and invaluable contribution over the years. Her leadership and passion for music have enriched the children’s experiences in countless ways. We are also deeply grateful to our Day Home parents for their support, cooperation, and assistance in planning this special event.
We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to the many local businesses and organizations in Fort McMurray that generously donated gifts for all of the children. Your kindness and community spirit brought immense joy to our celebration. The local shops and organizations were Pizza Hut, Canadian Tire, Boston Pizza, Little Caesars Thickwood, Dairy Queen Grill & Chill, OPA of Greece Clearwater Landing, The Momma Island, Razor's Edge Hair Studio, Save-On-Foods, Freshco Fort McMurray, Elements Events, Sugar Daddys Candy Shop, McDonald’s, KPSquared Dayhome Agency, Taco Time. Last not least Prestige Jewellers gave us 2 pieces of Jewellery and we had a raffle draw for the Lucky winners. 😊

The continued support and generosity of our Fort McMurray community never cease to inspire us. We are truly grateful to be surrounded by such a caring and supportive network. The children greatly enjoyed their gifts, and the sense of community made this celebration especially meaningful.
Finally, we extend a special thank you to Santa Claus for visiting the children and adding an extra touch of joy and excitement to the day.

Mini Miracle kids can't wait to meet Santa at this Saturday's Annual Christmas party and perform at the concert. It will be a lot of fun with food and games. 🎄🎅 🎉🎉

Mini Miracle kids, thoroughly enjoyed their Halloween celebration. With the help of our Art teacher, (Dilini) the children made Halloween crafts. We engaged in sensory play using spiders, eyeballs, scoop scissors, and cups. painted pumpkins and a ton of crafts. Halloween themed Music class with the music teacher and not to mention that the safety bear came to visit us every year we received a special safety visit from RCMP officers. Thank you to all of the amazing parents for providing all of the delicious and yummy treats and goodies. The kids had a great time at our Annual Halloween costume party. What fun they all had together 🎃👻🎈🎉

The kids at Mini Miracle Dayhome will be having our Annual Halloween costume party this year as well. On October 31st, we can't wait to see all of those cute costumes. Trick or treat, let's get spooky.👻🎃

Thanksgiving was a lot of fun for the Mini Miracle kids When our art teacher, ( Dilini) visited, we painted Thanksgiving decorations with turkeys and engaged in sensory play with rice, red lentils, and fall beads and water play. Kids created a unique Thanksgiving centi-piece for the Mom’s in addition to a number of Thanksgiving crafts. They all thoroughly enjoyed learning about Thanksgiving and the fall weather.🍁🦃🍁

Mini Miracles Day Home kids, were ecstatic when the music teacher gave them their year-end music certificates. Although it is sad that some of the children will be leaving and starting school this year, we are thrilled about the start of a new year and anticipate a ton of fantastic events and activities.😊
