Grade 6 Farewell
Our day started as a liturgy with our grade 1 students giving crosses and then our farewell afternoon. We had a few surprise guests, a few special awards for kindness and the principal award for student leadership, and some time to close this chapter 🩷
Congratulations class of grade 6 hawks! We know you’ll continue to thrive as you head off to middle school. We will miss you - our first class of EEP’ers to finish all 8 years at Elsie Yanik.

Grade 6 farewell is tomorrow! A reminder that the liturgy with Father Jonnell is at 10am; starting with the blessing of the crosses and our grade 1 students placing them on the grade 6 students. This is open to all families as it is also our end of year liturgy.
We then will flip our gym in preparation for the private grade 6 families farewell at 1pm. Families, please wait in the atrium. Our student leaders will open the doors once we are ready.
All students must be in their classes to begin and therefore if any grade 6 student is leaving for parts of the day, they need to be back in their classes by 12:30pm in order to start the farewell with their class. It’s a little surprise that requires organization.
Enjoy grade 6 families ❤️ Thank you grade 6 teachers for brainstorming and delivering an amazing way to send off our Hawks to a new adventure - Middle School.
