Hi Everyone,
Please save the date. We will be holding our Terry Fox Run on September 28, 2026, at 10 am. You are welcome to join us for the walk.
This year, we are happy to facilitate a shirt order, but please don't order directly. If you let us know the exact merch you want to order and e-transfer the amount owing, we can pool together to save on shipping. When there are more than 3 shirts, the shipment is free. Please visit this link to view the available merchandise: https://shop.terryfoxschools.org/collections/2026-terry-fox-run-collection.
Please have your orders and payments to us by August 17, 2026, so that we can ensure timely shipping. Orders and e-transfers can be sent to [email protected].
You can also donate to the Terry Fox Run here: https://schools.terryfox.ca/137418 Please feel free to share this link to others who may wish to support our fundraiser.
Thank you for supporting us as we nurture our children as capable citizens. We see this as an opportunity to highlight the learning that is uncovered from the holistic play-based goal Diversity and Social Responsibility. Through this fundraising and walk, children have the opportunity to engage in practices that respect diversity and fund innovation that aligns with social responsibility.
Take care,
Nancy and Brittany

We are so proud to share that Brittany, our Program Supervisor, has been selected to receive the FLIGHT-AECEA Living Moments of Pedagogy Award for 2026. Brittany, thank you for not only what you do to ensure that we put Children First here at our centre, but for all that you do to build the community of ECEs both locally and within the Province of Alberta. We are both proud of your work and thankful that you are part of our team right here. Please take a moment to celebrate Brittany and congratulate her if you see her today!

International Mud Day was off to a slow start due to the smoky weather this morning.
Our educators quickly pivoted and planned muddy indoor experiences, then pivoted again once the air quality settled.
We are excited for an afternoon of muddy play and connection to nature!
Are you celebrating Mud Day today?

Join us on Monday, June 29th as we recognize International Mud Day!
Mud Day began at the 2009 World Forum for Early Childhood Care and Education with a conversation between two educators. They reflected on the challenges they were faced with when it came to mud play.
From there, International Mud Day has evolved into what it has become today. A day where children around the world are connected through their messy and fun exploration of the land.
