Grades 10–12 Schedule Change Requests

If a student would like to request a schedule change, the request must be submitted by email. Please do not come to Student Services to request a schedule change, as counsellors will be working through requests in the order they are received.

We will review each request carefully and make changes wherever space and scheduling allow. Many classes are currently full, so some requested changes may not be possible.

Grades 7–9 Option Changes

Students in Grades 7–9 should attend the classes currently on their schedule during the first week of school.

Junior High Option Change Day will be Thursday, September 10.

Students do not need to come to Student Services to request an option change. Students with requests will be called down by class on Option Change Day, and changes will be made wherever space allows.

Indigenous artists across Canada 👋🎨

Arts Council Wood Buffalo is inviting Indigenous artists to submit workshop proposals for the Suncor Indigenous Artist Program, a series of workshops and events running from Fall 2026 to Summer 2027. Share your knowledge, stories, and skills with our community through hands-on creative experiences rooted in your own practice and cultural background.

Mediums may include beading, leather work, sewing & ribbon work, painting, drawing, carving, textile arts, traditional crafts, and more.

Students in Grades 8–12 are welcome to come to Westwood to select a locker and pick up bus passes before school begins!

Grades 10–12: 12:30–2:30 p.m.

Grade 7 students will receive their lockers during Welcome to Westwood on Friday Aug 28th from 11-12:30!

Please refer to our updated school supply lists as you prepare for back to school on August 31.

We are inviting our Grade 7s to join us next Friday (Aug.28) from 11:00am-12:30pm for a Welcome to Westwood opportunity! We understand that grade 7 is a new adventure and want to provide an opportunity for students to meet some staff and get to know where their classes are. This will help make the first day of school less stressful!

We will meet you in the school gym at 11:00am.
