For us in Montessori, Orange Shirt Day starts with a very simple message: every child matters, every family matters, and everyone deserves kindness and respect.

Montessori is centred around introducing each child to their community and the world around them, so they can begin to understand who they are and find their place and sense of belonging.

Today, we remember Indigenous children who were not able to grow up surrounded by their families, communities, languages, and cultures. We honour them by learning how important it is for every child to feel loved, respected, and proud of who they are.

Moving toward reconciliation does not happen only one day a year. It happens through the choices we make every day to listen, to learn, to show compassion, and to respect one another.

As our children grow into the next generation of leaders, our hope is that they carry these values forward. Remembering the past, building respectful relationships, and creating a future where every child truly matters and everyone belongs.

Congratulations to Our Class of 2026

To our very first graduating cohort, the children who have grown alongside us from the very beginning, today is more than a graduation. It is the celebration of a journey we have shared together.

People often ask us, “Are you sad to see them go?”

Our answer is no.

Not because we won’t miss them. We absolutely will.

But because we know they are ready.

We know these children will make a difference wherever their next steps take them. They leave with more than academic knowledge. They leave with confidence, independence, curiosity, kindness, and respect for the world around them.

A Montessori child shows grace.

A Montessori child shows courtesy.
A Montessori child learns to think, to care, and to lead.

These are our Montessori graduates.

We couldn’t be prouder to watch them step into the world, knowing they carry a little piece of our community with them wherever they go.

Thank you to all of our families who participated in our garage sale fundraiser in support of our garden project. Thanks to your generosity and support, we’ve officially gotten started and are excited to watch the garden grow over the coming weeks. We look forward to sharing the progress and the finished results with you all!

Tender Tree Montessori children joyfully participated in the Saint Patrick’s Day.
To add to the excitement, the children enjoyed a special green‑themed painting activity. They explored different shades of green, mixed colors, and created their own imaginative artwork. It was a wonderful blend of creativity, learning, and fun day💚☘️🍃🍀⚘️.
