As Thanksgiving approaches, we would like to wish you and your loved ones a wonderful holiday filled with love, happiness, and gratitude. We are truly thankful for your trust and for allowing us to be part of your little ones’ growth and development. 🥰

Please be reminded that Little Hugs Dayhome will be closed from October 10 to October 12 for the Thanksgiving long weekend. We will reopen on Tuesday, October 13.

What a fun day we had at my day home today! ❤️

After enjoying a fun slime activity, the kids were so excited when I told them it was time to get ready for outdoor play. They couldn’t wait to put on their shoes and jackets and head out!

Today, we decided to explore a new park nearby. As soon as we arrived, the excitement began! The kids were running, giggling, exploring, and enjoying the soft grass. They played in the sand, went down the slides, and had so much fun discovering their new surroundings. Seeing the excitement in their eyes was priceless! 🥰

After all that active play, we took a little snack break together on the bench before continuing our adventure.

Days like today are not only fun but also full of learning. Slime activities encourage creativity, sensory exploration, fine motor skills, and hand-eye coordination. Outdoor play helps children build strength, balance, coordination, confidence, independence, and social skills.

Most importantly, exploring new places gives children opportunities to be curious, try new things, and learn through real-life experiences.

It was definitely a fun, active, and memorable day!

Today, I took the children to the park to play and enjoy the beautiful weather while it lasted. We went for a walk and explored the outdoors, which gave them an opportunity to stay active, enjoy nature, and develop their gross motor skills.

After our outdoor exploration, we did an art activity using yarn and paint. This encouraged the children to be creative, explore different textures and colours, and express themselves through art.

Afterward, I provided the children with flyers and paper and encouraged them to cut them into pieces. This activity helped strengthen their finger and hand muscles while a lso developing their fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and concentration.

A Fun-Filled Day of Autumn Exploration!

Today, we had so much fun exploring, learning, and playing! After our autumn leaf hunt, we used the different shapes, colours, and textures of the leaves we collected for fun painting and colouring activities. This gave the children an opportunity to connect with nature, express their creativity, and strengthen their fine-motor skills.

We also set up a large bucket filled with water and added a variety of toys for an exciting water-play experience. The children enjoyed scooping, pouring, splashing, and exploring. Water play supports hand-eye coordination, sensory awareness, problem-solving skills, and early scientific thinking as children discover how objects move and interact with water.

We also spent time playing in the backyard, where the children enjoyed climbing and sliding. These active play experiences helped strengthen their gross-motor skills while encouraging balance, coordination, confidence, and physical development.

It was a wonderful day filled with discovery, creativity, and lots of joyful learning!

After spending our morning creating and exploring through crafts, we decided to make the most of the beautiful weather and head outdoors for some much-needed play and adventure.

As soon as we arrived at the park, the children were eager to run, climb, explore, and discover. It was wonderful to watch them challenge themselves and try new things that were a little outside their comfort zone. Some activities were not easy at first, and a few required several attempts, but the children showed such determination. They kept trying, encouraged one another, and celebrated when they finally figured things out.

Moments like these remind us that learning happens everywhere, especially through play. As the children climbed, balanced, explored, and took on new challenges, they were developing not only their physical skills but also their confidence, problem-solving abilities, and perseverance.

Watching their confidence grow was such a rewarding experience. Seeing them learn that it is okay to make mistakes, try again, and keep going until they succeed is something to be proud of. These small moments of courage, persistence, and accomplishment can make such a big impact on a child’s learning and development.

After a morning full of running, climbing, exploring, and lots of laughter, we headed to McDonald’s for lunch. It was the perfect ending to a fun-filled day together!

Getting ready for autumn by painting and making some Halloween crafts! Then we headed to the park, where we had so much fun climbing on the monkey bars, swinging, sliding, and enjoying all the playground fun.

It was such a beautiful day with gorgeous weather! Such a fun way to kick off the cozy season and get into the Halloween spirit.
