On June 21st we recognize and celebrate National Indigenous Peoples Day.
This is a time to honour the rich cultures, traditions, languages, and contributions of First Nations, Métis, and Inuit peoples. We acknowledge the enduring strength, resilience, and knowledge of Indigenous communities, and we are grateful for the opportunity to learn from the original stewards of the land on which we live, work, and learn.
At TNCDSB we are committed to walking the path of reconciliation—listening, learning, and fostering respect and understanding in our classrooms and communities. Today and every day, we strive to uplift Indigenous voices and perspectives in meaningful ways.
We encourage our students, staff, and families to take time to reflect, learn, and celebrate Indigenous cultures and histories.
