Stepping Stones Tutoring

Stepping Stones Tutoring 1-1 Fun, active Reading program for children Grade K-3. I have worked for the local school board for the past 29 years.

I have a wide variety of experience with students with different learning styles. I created this 1-1 reading program 23 years ago and have loved every minute. I enjoy planning active, hands-on learning opportunities for young minds to engage them through manipulatives and games to get them excited about learning. I will build a program for them that is individual to their needs, builds on the basi

c foundation skills and will move at their pace. I will work to ensure that they are motivated and feel positive about their learning and celebrate their progress.

Halloween fun is underway!!🎃👻 Ghosts, goblins and witches are no match for the students at Stepping Stones. This month they have been busy writing about haunted house hotels, the best pumpkins in the patch, Frankenstein as a Substitute teacher, and much more..... We have been building words with plastic bones and reading with witch's fingers.

Well although July seemed to fly by, it was still filled with laughter, learning, games, crafts and outdoor challenges. The students wrote an Astronaut Application, created a packing list for their rocket, debated whether they would rather Time travel or Planet travel, be friends with an Alien or a robot, wrote interview questions for an alien, and so much more.

Classes were also filled with crafts and games.

So excited to get this Galactic Reading Adventure started. This week students will embark on their Galactic journey by reading and analyzing the Space Station Mystery for clues as to who stole an essential piece of equipment from the Space Voyager, do some word building, complete an astronaut application, create a clay alien and even do a couple outdoor challenges, such as a zero gravity toss and a shuttle repair.
