SchoolsPlus Northside/Victoria County SchoolsPlus is a collaborative interagency approach supporting the whole child and their family with the school as the center of service delivery.

The focus of SchoolsPlus is to support students and families by helping them attain effective services that meet their identified needs. In addition, we will work with the school administration, students and their families in order to identify programming to meet the needs of the students and families. SchoolsPlus Northside/Victoria County services the following schools:

In partnership with Souls Harbour and J-Street Youth Centre, SchoolsPlus proudly offered an 8-week gardening program for Northside youth at Souls Harbour. This incredible experience allowed students to explore the world of agriculture by planting, nurturing, and harvesting vegetables, herbs, and flowers. Alongside gardening, participants engaged in creative crafts, learned about food safety and sewing, and enjoyed nutritious opportunities to try and take home the produce they grew.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to Souls Harbour Alana MacLellan and their amazing volunteers for hosting us and making this initiative possible. Special thanks to Hayden Timbury from J-Street Youth Centre and his dedicated team, and to Chef Scott for providing delicious meals each week. We also want to extend our gratitude to the community for respecting and supporting the hard work our youth and volunteers put into this project. 🌻🪴🍅
