North West Peace Community Adult Learning Council (NWPCALC)
NWPCALC’s Executive Director supports the local Council in facilitating and/or providing adult learning opportunities, based on community needs and priorities. Under the direction of the Board, the Executive Director has the authority to direct the implementation of approved programs and services and is responsible for management of the day-to-day operations.
The Community Adult Learning Council (CALC) is seeking a strong leader with two to five years of experience in community engagement, fund development (ie grants and sponsorship) and finance (ie budgets, bookkeeping, and payroll), program development and evaluation, and human resource management. The role requires someone with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to work in an efficient and effective manner.
Responsibilities include: Council Facilitation; Administrative and Financial Management; Community Relations; Community Programming; Learner Support Services (includes the Literacy program).
The successful candidate will be evaluated based on experience in the following areas:
- Two to five years of management and leadership experience in professional setting.
- Postsecondary education or related experience will be an asset.
The salary rate is competitive for an Executive Director in the non-profit sector in the Northern region and will be based on the skills, experience and qualifications of the successful candidate.

Application deadline: November 18, 2019. Only short-listed applicants will be contacted for an interview. This is a 10 month (Sept-June) renewable contract based on a 30 hour work week; candidates must be willing to work evenings and weekends as required by programming
