The South Huron District High School Music Program exposes students to a varied, meaningful musical experience. Students explore music's role as an artform through varied performance opportunities while learning and playing an instrument. They excel due to a supportive environment of students and staff who care about music and the positive role it can play in the lives of young people. Through our

music eduation programs, including instrumental music classes, access and instruction in digital music applications, extra-curricular bands and unique experiential learning opportunities, young people in our community learn, grow and find their own voices.

As we head into exams and second semester we hope to bring more music to everyone who supports us! Our Music Council is planning our future events such as Cabaret and our Final Concert... We will bring more information to you as we continue in this process!

Our Open House for FUTURE grade 7 and 9 Panthers is on Thursday, November 21st. Due to feedback we have received from last year's open house, we have decided to move our open house to the fall. We will not have an open house in January.

Are you going into Grade 7 or 9 in September? Come and see what SHDHS is all about! We can't wait to meet you.

The last week or so has been quite busy for our band! On Nov. 7-8th we had our Soundathon where members had the chance to bond with each other AND make our famous “Chocolate Dipped Oreos”.

On Nov. 14th we had Mass Band. SHDHS along with 3 other schools in our board joined together to play three new pieces. It was a blast!

We were also in the Exeter Santa Claus Parade yesterday (Nov. 16th) and pictures will come soon!
