Parents from Pebbles showed up in the most incredible way - not only did they donate all the sand for our new sandbox, they hauled it themselves!

While on the topic of our sandbox…We would also like to shine a spotlight on one of our Dads - Justin Goulet for turning our incredibly heavy sandbox cover into really cool fold-out benches! This made a huge difference in our daily routine! Thank you so much for your help! 💚

What an incredible day for Pebbles to Rocks Childcare Centre! 💚 Our Grand Opening Ceremony was filled with excitement, community support, and so many wonderful guests who have supported us along the way.

We were honoured to welcome most of our Board of Directors, Honourable Lori Carr, Estevan City Council members, our major sponsors, our amazing new staff team, and members of the local press. Your presence made this milestone truly unforgettable.

Although this celebration marks a huge step forward, we are still patiently waiting for our childcare licence from the Ministry of Education. We are hoping to welcome children mid‑July, but we cannot confirm the exact date until we receive final approval. Thank you for your patience and understanding — we are so close.

💚 Waitlist Update

Families who will be selected in the lottery for our first available spaces will be notified soon.
Families who will remain on the waitlist will also receive an update so everyone knows where they stand as we move forward.

Our Program Director and staff are already hard at work creating thoughtful, engaging programming for all our future Pebbles kiddos. We truly cannot wait to open our doors and welcome families into our Centre.

Registration for Pebbles to Rocks Childcare Centre is officially open, and we’re so excited to share this moment with you!

If you’re looking for a safe, joyful, high‑quality childcare space for your little one, we’d love to welcome your family into ours.

Pebbles to Rocks is tentatively scheduled to open on July 13th. This date remains subject to change pending final licensing approval by the Ministry of Education. Families will be informed promptly as information becomes available.

We want to ensure families have a clear understanding of how our waitlist and selection process will work.

Pebbles to Rocks Day Care will welcome children 18 months to 6 years old (completion of kindergarten). Because we are a brand‑new centre, we will be opening in stages to support a smooth transition for children, families, and staff.

When we first open, we will begin with 45 children. As our team settles into daily operations and routines, we will gradually increase capacity with the goal of reaching up to 90 children.
Families will be contacted as spaces become available. Those selected for the first group of approximately 45 children will be contacted directly. As we are able to add more spaces, we will continue reaching out to families from the waitlist.

If a family is offered a space and chooses to decline, they will remain on the waitlist. Families may decline up to three offers. After three declined offers, the child’s name will be moved to the bottom of the waitlist.

Please note that completing the waitlist application does not guarantee a space.

🌳 Tree‑Planting Day at Pebbles! 🌞

☺️ It was one of those feel‑good progress days - Preferred Energy’s Landscaping division was on site planting our trees and the yard transformed 😍

The irrigation system is connected and working now. Looking forward to having the lush green grass for everyone to run around on or just even lay down and watch the clouds ☺️

As much as we love the sunshine and all the outdoor play that comes with it, we’re so excited for the beautiful shade these trees will bring on those hot Saskatchewan summer days.
Cooler play spaces, cozy reading corners, and a yard that feels even more welcoming for our little ones.🥰

Huge appreciation to the Preferred Energy crew for bringing this part of the vision to life. Their work is going to make a world of difference for our kiddos all summer long. 💚

🏴‍☠️ We Had a Big Delivery Day at Pebbles! 🌳

Wednesday was an exciting one - Kustom Kitties delivered our outdoor play equipment, and the yard is officially starting to look like a little adventure world. We now have a very cool (and VERY heavy!) pirate ship, a mud kitchen, picnic tables, and soon a large 10 x 10 sandbox will join the fun.

Because that pirate ship weighed approximately… a million pounds 😅… we had to rally some serious muscle.

A huge shout‑out to our board member Sydney Zohner and her husband Greg Zohner, who brought in strong firefighters to help move that beast into place. Absolute heroes 🙌🥳

Thank you to everyone who helped in any way - lifting, guiding, organizing, cheering, or simply showing up. Every bit of support helps make this daycare the best it can be, and I’m truly grateful. 💚

✨ Another Huge Step for Pebbles! ✨

We’re excited to share that the Municode building inspector has granted us temporary occupancy with only a few tiny, minuscule finishing touches left before full occupancy is officially in place. We are so close to the finish line, and it feels incredible.

A project of this size doesn’t come to life without a village, and we’ve been surrounded by some truly exceptional people along the way.

Today, we want to shine a special spotlight on CCR Construction.
From day one, they have been wonderful partners- meeting every expectation, communicating openly and consistently, and always making sure Pebbles’ best interests were front and centre.

A heartfelt thank‑you to Cody H., Emma B., and Kevin S. for being the kind of team every project hopes for:

Dakota was here all day on Tuesday, making sure every vent, every corner, every line of our system was spotless so that our Pebbles kiddos and staff will be breathing in fresh, clean air from day one 😊

It’s the behind‑the‑scenes work like this, the stuff most people never see, that makes such a big difference in creating a safe, healthy, welcoming space for our little ones.
