Erin District High School This is the EDHS Parent Council page. Award winning EDHS is proud to have one of the most active Parent Councils in the High School system.

Erin District High School (EDHS) is an award winning high school with a distinct community atmosphere. EDHS is in the top 11% of Ontario High Schools according to the Fraser Institute’s latest School Rankings. Where is what makes the school unique:
- It is the winner of the Dr. Bette Stephenson Recognition of Achievement award from Ontario’s Education Quality and Accountability Office (EQAO).
- T

he School also has a leading French Immersion Program using the European Common Framework for French & home to the DELF (diplôme d’études en langue française) testing program.
- Award winning Drama program under the direction of Stephen Sherry. Host and winner of the Sears Festival.
- Outstanding Athletic Program – Rugby – Provincial OFSSA Gold medal 2014. OFSSA Sportsmanship award last two years running. OFSSA participant at least 4 times. CWOSSA participants in the last 8 years consecutively. District 10/4 champions in those years. District 4 Champion in 2015. Soccer – District 4 Champions in Girls soccer 2014. CWOSSA Semi Finalists. Track and Field – The NATIONAL, OFSAA, CWOSSA and the District Champion in his age group for 1500m was at EDHS. About 15 athletes will travel to CWOSSA in 2015.
- Rich technology program and ongoing research to use technology to enrich learning in the classroom. Teachers have conducted confidential research with Google. And most recently, the school is the winner of a $60,000 Ministry of Education Grant to integrate technology into science and other subjects.

Final Evaluation (Exam/Culminating) Dates:
January 23, 2025: Period 1
January 24, 2025: Period 2
January 27, 2025: Period 3
January 28, 2025: Period 4
January 29, 2025: Alternative Evaluation Day

Please allow for this accommodation when planning appointments or trips.

Inclement Weather:
Should an inclement weather day (with cancelled buses) occur during exam days 1 to 4, the exam schedule will be pushed forward to accommodate the missed day.

Should multiple inclement weather days occur during the exam period, the remaining exam schedule, PA Days, and start date for Semester 2 will move forward by the number of inclement weather days.

PLEASE NOTE: If buses are cancelled in Division 2 and/or Division 4 on exam days 1 to 4, we will push our exams forward including January 29, 30, or 31. Again, please allow for this accommodation when planning appointments or trips.

Important Dates:
January 30, 2025: Semester 1 PA Day
January 31, 2025: Semester 2 PA Day
February 3, 2025: Semester 2 Begins
February 7, 2025: Report cards available to students and parents/guardians on the portal.

Notifications will be sent out in the event of an inclement weather day(s) and/or bus cancellation(s) during exam week. Stay tuned to our website, UG Connect App and the email you have on file with the school to obtain the most up to date information during those times.
