Special thanks goes out tonight to Elmvale Tim Hortons, Team Trude, all of our volunteers (students, families, staff and community), Liz Grummett - SCDSB Trustee Councillor Matt Garwood all those who bought cookies and Township of Springwater for their promotional support for making this year's Smile Cookie Campaign a huge success. Today we were presented with a cheque for $16,953.96! This money will be used for school yard improvements that will benefit the entire community and for our Mindful Morning program that provides healthy food for our students every day. Thanks everyone! We kindly request your assistance. Daily, we are encountering undesirable waste in our school yard due to dog owners failing to clean up after their pets. Please ensure you dispose of your dog's waste properly to prevent children, including your own or your neighbour’s, from accidentally stepping or falling into it.

Over 1000 Tim Horton Smile Cookies have come into HCES over the past 5 days. How many have been sold overall at the Elmvale store? We don’t know yet. It takes a lot of decorating to have enough cookies ready for everyone who wants them. Two more days to support this event! 100% of cookie sales and all donations come straight to Huronia Centennial for Mindful Mornings and schoolyard improvements. And have you seen the stuffies?? So cute! And a portion of those sales come to the school as well. We can beat the other stores. We have a personal best to live up to! Help Elmvale push past the others! We have an amazing community! Thanks everyone!

Today every student in our school received a Tim Hortons Smile cookie due to the generosity of one of our families. DriveWise, the family’s company, bought 500 Smile cookies which brought a 1000 dollar donation to the school through Tim Hortons plus everyone got a cookie. One of the kids who came to pick up his class’ cookies said “That’s a really great deal for us!” and another kid said that a Smile Cookie just makes your day better. Thanks DriveWise!!!
Tomorrow another 500 cookies will arrive. Thanks to all the families who purchased cookies for delivery tomorrow. Individual cookies will be handed out for second lunch dessert and the 12-packs will be sent home for weekend treats.

After Day 2, Elmvale Tim Hortons is in 4th place in the Georgian Bay Simcoe Region behind Alliston, Innisfil and Angus. Today is a new day of cookie decorating, promoting, buying and eating! Please drop by and purchase some cookies or make a donation. Let’s see if we can pull ahead in the standings. Go Elmvale Tims! Go HCES Hawks!
