🧡 Orange Shirt Day at EDS 🧡

Tomorrow, Tuesday, September 29th, we will be recognizing Orange Shirt Day at EDS as we continue our learning and reflection around the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

We wear orange to honour Residential School Survivors, their families and communities, and to remember the children who never returned home. It is a day to learn about the history and lasting impacts of the residential school system and to reflect on our shared responsibility for truth, healing and reconciliation.

At EDS, we will continue to learn, listen, remember and grow together.

🧡 Every Child Matters.

🏃‍♀️💙 EDS is getting ready to run for Terry! 🐻💛

Our Terry Fox Run is coming up, and we’re excited to have our EDS Bears come together to run, walk, and raise funds in support of Terry’s dream of finding a cure for cancer.

Last year, our amazing school community raised $1,085, and this year we’re hoping to surpass that! Every donation, big or small, helps us make a difference and keep Terry’s dream moving forward. 💙

Let’s get our Bears moving! 🐻🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

This week at EDS, we’re focusing on something that makes a BIG difference in our classrooms: knowing what it means to Be Kind, Be Responsible, and Be Safe. 🐻💙

We’re talking about what these expectations look like, sound like, and feel like in our classrooms and throughout our school.

Because when we all understand the expectations—and work together to live them out—our classrooms become amazing places to learn, grow, take risks, and be ourselves.

A little clarity, a lot of kindness, and everyone doing their part. That’s how we make EDS a great place to be! 💙
