I run an arts based children's preschool that incorporates play invitations, songs and stories, hands on art experiences and outdoor exploring! This is a space I will share some of the fun had at the ART house!!

Feeling entirely inspired travelling home from a two week adventure road tripping out east. Taking in new sites and paying attention to the many senses triggered in travel. The many beds slept in, the skies painted different colours, wide open spaces, feet in the ocean and colourful buildings and boats . A kaleidoscope of many of my favourite things with a camera in hand. How will I carry this home with me? I’m already dreaming of the prints on the walls and the colour combinations I’ll recreate. The new flavours I’ll make at home. The more I want to learn about a camera and how to use it. The way I slowed down and existed in a different shutter speed. The light, textures, moments and spaces I will create because of what I experienced are already brewing. God is good. I love that He made us to create 💕✨

I love a good adventure. 🏕️ We’re leaving for a family camping weekend which I grew up loving and now the kids do too. We tend to camp 5-7 trips a year. Some say it’s a lot, but paired with equally amounts of nothingness is perfect in these summer months that are fleeting. I chase water and being near it is always always worth it. Fall and winter bring me indoors more often to cozy up— but spring and summer? Get me outside always. Breakfast, lunch and dinner. Sleeping under the stars? Yes please. Campfires at dark? You bet.
My kids are playing the age old game I played with my little bro growing up. Pick a vehicle colour, collect your points when one drives by. Still a beloved pastime but the winning colours are getting more and more dull 😝
It’s almost August. I hope July was good to you. If you have something you’d love to do this summer— here is your reminder you have 5whole weeks to fit it in yet ☀️

Little snaps of the season. Trying to eat the seasons freshness. Sip the coffee while it’s hot and get my hair wet in lakes and waterslides. There is toad catching and bracelet making and pocket treasures galore. Slingshots and skateboards. Good reads and guacamole by the pool. Being in the moment with a camera roll just catching glimpses 📸

Opening registration EARLY as I have some home days before more adventures and want to be present where my feet are this summer! Registration is open for Fall at the Art House in my home studio!! 8week session, Wednesday Mornings 9:30-11:30am. Sept 16-Nov 4! Email [email protected] to ask any questions! I love this little big thing I do and I can’t wait to make more artful memories with children in my community!

Spot the moments that bring you unhindered joy and relax and enjoy this season that comes once a year. The season for bare feet, watermelon slices, popsicles and drinks from the hose. Find your simple joys and be there, right where you are.

11 before 12
Elementary before middle school.
Same kid new season.
I knew it, I knew you.
I used to be afraid of the ages that weren’t early childhood and suddenly I’m eager to get to know the kid I already know become a version I haven’t met yet. Same Mother ,new season. Same love forever and always.
