Our final Panther Pride assembly for the school year was held yesterday. Great to see so many Panthers who have excelled at academics, athletics or random acts of kindness or respect. Congratulations Panthers.

FINAL CANTEEN SALE
On Wednesday, June 10th we will be selling the remaining items from our Track and Field canteens. Proceeds from all items sold will go towards the Kindergarten Play Structure Fund.
Any students that bring money will be able to buy TWO items to ensure we have enough for everyone - if there are still items left over after everyone has been through, students will be invited to make another purchase on Thursday, June 11th! Items will be on a first come, first served basis.
Small change would be appreciated!

Congratulations to Mr. Balfour!
On Sunday, Mr. Balfour was recognized as an Asset Builder at the Leeds and Grenville Asset Builders Awards ceremony in Brockville. He was proudly nominated by Grade 1 student Emerson Thomas.
In his nomination, Emerson shared that Mr. Balfour is a true asset builder because he takes the time to listen to him and talk with him every day. He wrote that Mr. Balfour helps him solve problems and always makes sure he is safe. Emerson also said that when he grows up, he wants to be a principal just like Mr. Balfour because he is "a good guy."
The Asset Builder Award is presented annually to adults who make a meaningful and lasting difference in the lives of children and youth through their care, encouragement, and support.
Congratulations, Mr. Balfour, on this well-deserved recognition and for the positive impact you make in the lives of students every day!

A huge thank you to Mrs. McNichols for organizing our 2nd Annual Kindergarten Touch-A-Truck event!
We would also like to extend our sincere appreciation to everyone who took the time to bring vehicles and equipment for our students to explore:
• Adam Curtis
• Hale's Excavation and Trucking
• Emterra Environmental
• Daniel Gordon
• Lynn Brothers
• Rideau Lakes Fire
• UCLG Paramedics
• McNichols Trades Group
• Baker's Feed
• OPP
• The Pickering Family
Our students had an incredible afternoon exploring, learning, asking questions, and getting an up-close look at so many amazing vehicles and the people who operate them. Experiences like this support learning in the Kindergarten Program by encouraging children to develop curiosity, communicate their thinking, ask questions, and make connections between their learning and the world around them. Thank you for helping create such a memorable experience for our kindergarten students. What a fun afternoon! Upper Canada District School Board (UCDSB)
