OHS students Oscar Martyn, Kane Dempsey, Eli Barnwell, and Trinity Meadows travelled to ADHS on Friday, May 22 for their Chess Tournament. Although the group didn't place in the top 3, Oscar and Kane both received Sportsmanship medals and they all came home with some fun achievement awards. Well done Wildcats!

This week, the Opeongo Cosmetology Class hosted a successful Client Day! Students provided a variety of services, including hot tool styling, manicures, pedicures, and nail extensions, while continuing to refine their salon and spa etiquette skills. Well done Wildcats!

Opeongo Hairstyling and Aesthetics students have been developing their braiding techniques through a creative design challenge. Each student was tasked with designing a braid style and then bringing their concept to life on their mannequin. The activity showcased impressive creativity, technical skill, and attention to detail from all students. Well done!

Due to the severe weather (current and forecasted), all school transportation is cancelled AND all RCDSB schools, Board and Plant offices are closed for today, March 11th, 2026.

This means that there will be no in-person classes or activities at any RCDSB school. All staff will also be working remotely and will not be in school buildings.

Please exercise caution and stay home today when possible. We understand that this closure may be disruptive, and we appreciate your understanding as we prioritize the safety of our students, staff, and community.

We will continue to monitor the weather conditions and provide updates as needed.
