Holy Redeemer High School Holy Redeemer High School is a grade 7-12 school located in Edson, Alberta. We encourage everyone to 'like' this page and join!

This page is designed to keep parents, students, and community members actively involved in the on-goings of the school. Holy Redeemer Catholic High School serves the educational needs of the Edson and area Roman Catholic Community. Since opening in 2003 we have continued to provide an excellent grade 7 - 12 program for 345 students. Edson is a bustling community on the Yellowhead highway about 200 kilometres west of Edmonton. Coal mining, forestry, and oil and gas exploration are the key employers in this resource-based town. Holy Redeemer was completely renovated and updated to provide students with a facility for a comprehensive high school program. Our Drama facility is considered the best west of Edmonton; our science labs are fully equipped to facilitate a rich science program; and our technology is state-of the-art. Education programs include: Alberta Education High School Diploma, Alberta Education Knowledge and Employability Certificate, and Special Education Individual Program Plans.

Students from HRH's Religion 15 class visited Sacred Heart Catholic Parish - Edson on the afternoon of Friday, Oct 2nd, when Father Jan Solokowciz held a special Liturgy of the Word for our class. The students were warmly welcomed by Father Jan as they gathered in the church for the celebration.

Students were not only spectators but also active participants in the Mass, as several students did the daily readings from the Old and New Testaments. These special Masses are scheduled twice a month for our Religion 15 classes. They give students a meaningful opportunity to deepen their understanding of the liturgy, to grow in their faith, and to experience firsthand how the Word of God is proclaimed and lived out in the parish community. We thank Father and the Sacred Heart Parish for their continued support and hospitality.

🌲 WOLF Forestry Program 🌲
WOLF has Forest Resource Improvement Association of Alberta (FRIAA) grant funding in place until 2030, making it possible to bring valuable forestry programming to schools across Alberta.
Through this program, students have the opportunity to gain hands-on skills, explore careers in the forest industry, develop their knowledge and earn high school credits while experiencing what a future in forestry could look like.
This week, 15 Holy Redeemer students participated in the WOLF program and successfully earned 5 CTS credits! 🌲🪓
A huge thank you to Curtis and Howard for sharing your knowledge, time and expertise with our students and providing them with such a valuable learning experience.
We are proud to see our students exploring new opportunities and building skills for their futures! 👏
Plus, a huge shout out to Mrs. Lamabe for her work with this event and the NAIT Next in Trades!

🔨 Exploring the Trades at NAIT! 🔧
Our Holy Redeemer students had an amazing day on Monday at NAIT’s Next in Trades event, hosted in celebration of Apprenticeship Day!
With hands-on workshops and opportunities to explore a variety of skilled trades, students got to experience what a future in the trades could look like and learn more about the programs offered at NAIT.
We were proud to have 20 Holy Redeemer students take part in this exciting experience! A great day of learning, exploring, and discovering what comes next. 👏
Thank you to NAIT for providing such a valuable opportunity for our students!
