Learning is always more fun when it’s hands-on! 🥞📏
Mrs. Tina’s class put their measurement skills to work as they learned about dry and liquid measurements while making pancakes together!
Students practiced measuring ingredients, following directions, and working as a team to create a delicious treat. It was a fun and engaging way to bring math to life in the classroom—and the tasty pancakes were an added bonus! 😊✨
What a wonderful way to mix learning and fun! 🥞❤️

Learning comes alive in our Outdoor Classroom! 🌿📚🐦
Mrs. Murry took her library classes to the Outdoor Classroom, where students enjoyed reading a wonderful book about the many different types of nests found in nature.
The excitement grew even more when the children discovered that a pair of birds has made a nest in the birdhouse above the chalkboard! It was a perfect opportunity to connect our reading with real-life observations and appreciate the wildlife around us.
What a special day of learning, curiosity, and discovery outdoors! 💚✨

A huge thank you to the Community Garden for welcoming nearly all of our classes this year! 🌱☀️
Students enjoyed an exclusive tour of the garden, painted birdhouses and their favourite animals (and insects!), and were treated to a delicious hot dog lunch.
Today it was Mrs. Brooke’s Montessori Kindergarten 1/2 class’s turn to join in the fun! We are so grateful for this wonderful opportunity to learn, create, explore, and connect with our community.
Thank you for making it such a memorable experience for our students! 💚🌻🐝

A big thank you to Tipple Park for hosting our Grade 2 class! Students had the opportunity to step back in time and experience what life was like in the past. They learned how school used to be, washed clothes by hand, made candles, and even tried their hand at churning butter! 🧈
Thank you for providing such a fun, hands-on learning experience that brought history to life for our students! 💙📚✨

This year a few of our classes had the opportunity to go to Pizza 73 to make pizzas! Thank you so much, Karan at Pizza 73! Mrs. Graham’s 4/5 class had the best time on their field trip to see you! Finding out how your business works and making their own pizzas (on the house!!) was so amazing!! The kids LOVED everything!

✏️The École Westhaven School Playground Fundraising Society is dedicated to building a new playground for our Kindergarten to Grade 5 students in Edson!
🛝Our playground is an essential part of student life—a place where children learn, play, build friendships, and stay active.
🤲With the support of our community, we can create a safe and inspiring space that will benefit generations of Westhaven students.
🎉Together, we can build more than a playground—we can build opportunities for every child to thrive.
