Ever wondered what happens in a vocal lesson? 😄🎤

Sometimes… we sound a little like horses. 🐴😂
But there’s actually a reason for it!

This exercise is called a lip trill, and it’s one of the exercises we use to help develop the voice — working on breath control, vocal coordination and moving smoothly through the range.

Because vocal training isn’t always about singing songs.
Sometimes it’s brrrrr… brrrrr… brrrrr… all the way up the scale. 😄🎶

And yes — your vocal coach does it with you! 😉

🎸🔥 Meet one of our incredibly talented young students — Polina Zakharchenko!

She may be young, and she hasn’t been playing guitar for very long — but just listen to her play. 🤘

The power. The confidence. The sound.
This is some seriously impressive guitar playing! 🔥🎸

And this is exactly what we love about teaching music — watching a student go from “I want to learn” to “Wow… I can actually do this!”

Talent matters. But so do passion, practice, the right teacher, and having a place where you feel inspired to grow.

At AIR Music Academy, we want our students to do more than simply learn notes and technique. We want them to discover what they’re capable of — and experience that incredible feeling of making real music.

🎶 YOU’RE INVITED TO THE AIR MUSIC ACADEMY GRAND OPENING CONCERT! 🎶

We’re excited to invite you to a very special evening as we celebrate the opening of AIR Music Academy in Edmonton! ✨

On Thursday, October 1, our students — children and adults — will take the stage and share what they’ve been working on. For some, this will be one of their very first opportunities to perform in front of an audience, and we would love to have you there to cheer them on. 🤍

🎤 Vocal
🎹 Piano
🎸 Guitar
🥁 Drums
…and plenty of music and great energy!

At AIR Music Academy, we’re building more than a place to take music lessons. We’re creating a music community where children, teens and adults can learn, play together, meet other musicians, join bands, record music and experience performing on stage.

Come meet us, enjoy live performances by our students, and celebrate the beginning of AIR Music Academy with us! 🎶

🎶 Music lessons are not just for children.

More and more adults today are returning to music — or discovering it for the very first time ✨

And it’s not about becoming a professional musician.
It’s about what music gives you.

🎹 Piano helps improve concentration, memory, and emotional balance.
🎤 Vocal lessons help people feel more confident, free their voice, and express emotions.
🥁 Drums are a powerful way to release stress, improve coordination, and recharge mentally.
🎸 Guitar brings creativity, relaxation, and the joy of playing your favorite songs.

Scientific studies show that learning music at any age:
🧠 supports brain health and cognitive function
🧠 improves memory and attention
🧠 reduces stress and anxiety
🧠 helps prevent cognitive decline and age-related brain aging

But beyond science, music simply makes life richer.

It gives adults something that is often missing in everyday routine:
✨ creativity
✨ inspiration
✨ emotional expression
✨ personal growth
✨ joy

At AIR Music Academy, we warmly welcome adult students of all experience levels — including complete beginners 💛

It’s never too late to start.

🎤 Vocal at AIR Music Academy is more than just lessons.

We want our students not only to develop strong vocal skills, confidence, and musicality — but also to experience what it feels like to become real performers ✨

As students grow and develop, they will have opportunities to:
🎶 professionally record songs in a studio setting
🎶 participate in music groups and creative projects
🎶 perform at concerts and school events
🎶 gain real stage experience and confidence as performers

For students who are passionate about music, this can become the beginning of a meaningful creative journey.

At AIR Music Academy, we are building a musical community where children and teens can:
💛 find friends and like-minded people
💛 grow as musicians
💛 learn teamwork and collaboration
💛 express themselves in a supportive and inspiring environment

Sometimes all a child needs is a place where someone believes in them ✨

And maybe this is where their musical story begins.
