Last weekend, board members and directors from different branches across Western Canada gathered in Coquitlam, BC for the annual Culinary Federation Western Conference, it was a fun weekend of food, learning, celebration, networking and reconnecting. It was a great seeing everyone coming together sharing stories, achievements, laughs and a lot more. The conference began with a welcome reception ended with the President’s Gala reception and dinner presented by , showcasing some of their competition dishes as they prepare for the Culinary World Cup in November. Thank you and for hosting us for the weekend!
Last night members of went on their second restaurant crawl this year, visiting three local restaurants, two of which is owned by Alumni Chef , and , here the members enjoyed a wide range of Chef Andrew’s top notch signature dishes from both of his establishments, dishes such as the Ahi Tuna Twist, Truffled Lamb and Prawn Siu Mai and the Hamachi Yellowtail Sashimi, just to name a few. The evening ended visiting Brewery where the members tried their Crispy Smoked Pork Belly Bites, Buffalo Dip and Irish Coffee Crème Brulee, a great way to spend the evening on International Chefs Day, celebrating great food with friends and colleagues sharing the same passion and commitment!
