One of a kind pieces that are completely customizable. Growing up, I was never an artist. Red, Yellow, Blue, Green I didn't care that elephant was every color.
My mother has books from in elementary school "as (insert color) as a (insert object), and for every single one I did the exact same thing. Then the drawing to accompany it was a bunch of scribbles and then on to the next. It was a get this out of the way and on to the next thing for me. Very quantity over quality for me. (Side note, as I wrote that I realised my life is completely backwards now.
All I care about it quality, production is not even a thought. If you have a great quality, your production will increase. I Always remember the Kuiper Triangle.) What started out as a distraction, essentially an escape from debilitating migraines has turned in to my passion. I found the only thing other than sleeping that would remotely take my thoughts away from the pain I was in, was to paint. The first sign I did was "In this house...." For the Harper's and it has progressed since then. I am self taught, defiantly not a professional. Still a work in progress, just like many of the projects I will have on the go at once. I love creating works of art that will bring people joy whenever they look at it. Whether it is an abstract, a quote, or some sort of mixed media project I find something calming in each of them. By day I am a Red Seal Journeyman Welder now working as a Quality Control Inspector for a vessel fabrication shop, by night I'm a mother of 3 fur babies and the life partner to my better looking half. I spend my evenings and weekends ignoring house work and other womanly duties and working in the "workshop", usually loosing track of time. I can't wait to see what the future holds for me and my new found passion!
