Hi NAIT PFT Alumni!
Are you interested in joining our second year PFT students for an exciting opportunity to connect how you train with how we’re built?
In partnership with the University of Alberta's Anatomical Gifts program (https://www.ualberta.ca/.../anatomical-gifts-program.html), we will again be hosting NAIT PFT students to explore several prepared dissections that emphasize functional anatomy.
No previous experience in a cadaver lab is necessary!

Great news!
Our Personal Fitness Trainer diploma is officially reinstated after NAIT's academic program review. The review highlighted strong industry demand, solid student outcomes, and consistent enrolment.
We're excited to move this program forward with strengthened delivery and improved intake planning. We're also preparing updates to the curriculum and exploring a future rebrand that will better reflect the full scope of the program. Starting in the new year, we'll be setting the stage for long-term growth and an even better student experience.

Fitness Brigade's expert team implements fitness, recreation, health and wellness programs at remote worksites including oil and gas, mining, construction, defense and security. Our programs are fun, engaging, professional, comprehensive, and holistic. Candidates must hold a current accredited personal training certificate. Roles and Responsibilities

The duties and responsibilities will include:
Encourage and motivate clients to look at fitness as a positive element in a healthy lifestyle
Execute personal training sessions and small group fitness classes of various forms
Lead a variety of specialized workshops that teach clients about the many different topics of health and fitness
Lead fun events such as paint night, holiday fun events, movie nights etc..
Scheduling and hosting recreational activities such as baseball tournaments, frisbee games, soccer games, pool tournaments, card tournaments, and other similar social gatherings;
Scheduling and providing instruction on the use of golf simulators;
Qualifications:
High school diploma;
Personal training certificate
Computer literate with ability to use word processing programs and spreadsheet programs;

Role
Our Performance Coach will report directly to the Personal Training Manager and is responsible for continuously improving the Performance Coach service offering. You will also:
Provide exceptional Performance Coach service to meet the diverse needs of new and existing clients, using strong interpersonal skills and engagement
Conduct Personal Training sessions and offer suggestions, encouragement and feedback throughout the session
Track client progress through regular review of programming and consistent movement assessments.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of and promote Movati programs, products and services to club members
Stays current on Personal Training, nutrition, fitness strategies and techniques
Maintain and upgrade certifications to provide highest level of service to clients
Qualifications
Post-Secondary education related to health and fitness industry (Kinesiology or Physical Education) is required
1+ years related Personal Training experience is required
1+ years of sales experience an asset
Successful completion of a nationally recognized Personal Training Certification
Successful completion of additional health and nutrition certification programs are strongly preferred
Current CPR is required and must be maintained through employment
