As we close 2025, take time to acknowledge your highlights ~ the moments where you chose peace and when you chose yourself.

Acknowledge the moments where you made the hard decisions, and may have even become the villain in the eyes of others ~ because you chose to break negative cycles.

Acknowledge the moments where you walked away - from people and places ~ because you saw how continuing along the path would have wrecked your nervous system.

Acknowledge the moment when you realised that you no longer had to fix things you didn’t break.

Acknowledge the moment when you decided to support those who have always supported you.

Acknowledge the moments when you awakened after a night’s sleep and immediately felt at peace and at ease.

Acknowledge the moments when you decided to stop chasing people who only wanted to feel you pursue them.

Acknowledge the moments when you stopped and breathed - deeply.

Acknowledge the moments when you said YES to something you’ve always said NO to.

Acknowledge the moments when things went according to plan because of your hard work.

Acknowledge the moments when you felt supported and held by your ancestors and guides.

Acknowledge the moment when you knew the storm was over ~ and that you’d never be the same again.

Cheers to foward motion, courage and to trusting instinct over familiarity, friends ♥️

Two weeks away from turning 54, and I find myself ruminating on the “What Ifs” of life (as many of us often do)

you choose people who choose you;

you trust the signs the Universe shares;

you pay attention to where, and around whom, you feel safe, supported and seen;

What If …
you let people be wrong about you;

What If …
you allowed your nervous system to be the compass that guides you to peace and ease;

What If …
when it’s time to go, you go - without hesitation;
*
What If …
in a world that glorifies urgency, you move slower (as an act of rebellion);

What If …
you do more of what feeds your spirit and less of what doesn’t matter;

What If …
you make friends with kind people;
*
What If …
you spoke your boundaries;
*
What If …
you spend time alone in order to heal your nervous system;

What If …
you believed you could do all of it.

Happy Sunday (and don’t-forget-to-turn-back-your-clocks-day)

As a teacher of yoga and pilates, I get to witness what a privilege it is to be able to move our bodies - not just from the physical aspect, but also from being in the mental, emotional and financial space to do so.

I am fortunate to see all ages, body types and abilities and I get to observe the joy that comes from being able to “do the things”.

Whether it’s a short walk or an hour long group class or time spent lifting heavy things, we rewire our neural pathways and our nervous systems when we move.

And the ability to do so must always be recognized for the privilege it is.

Enjoy the last two months of 2025, friends ✨

Happy and nervously excited to be joining the hottest Club in Edmonton 🔥 ❤️

Welcome Lacintha! Lacintha is an experienced and certified Edmonton-based yoga teacher, who recently added Pilates to her teaching repertoire.

Pilates was introduced to her as a teenager, to supplement and support her competitive swimming training program.

Fun fact: Prior to migrating to Canada, Lacintha practiced criminal law in her country of birth, South Africa.

Lacintha is also an experienced martial artist, having trained in Taekwondo, Karate and Kali, a Filipino weapons based martial art.

She is thrilled to be joining her home studio, Club Pilates Windermere, as a teacher and is grateful for the opportunity to share the space with the teachers, staff and students.

A time to connect deeply with others, with nature and with one’s self.

A time for self care, rest and nourishment - in all the ways.

Acknowledging too, that the ability to slow down is in itself a privilege ✨

Lots to celebrate and to be grateful for today - the most significant being my year long Pilates certification finally coming to fruition.

It truly did take a village for me to complete the training, the assignments, hundreds of hours of practice, observation, assistant teaching and practice teaching.

From my immediate family, to my friends, my fellow trainees, my extended family, my pilates home studio and the many teachers and mentors who guided and helped.

I owe you all a great debt 🙏🏽

The Lions Gate Portal and the Full Moon in Aquarius ~ coming up on August 8 and 9 respectively.

The full moon reminds us to appreciate what we have, and where we find ourselves, in the here and now.

The lions gate portal is a potent time for deep manifestation.
Think of what you want to call into your life, and of what you want to let go.

This moment in time provides the opportunity to supercharge your intentions.
Be open and receptive to accepting what you’re asking for

Release stagnant energy, harmful thoughts and emotions and negative attachments.
