September 30th is the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. Today is about remembering and honouring survivors and those who were lost as a result of residential schools. Today we encourage people to reflect on the ongoing trauma, violence and impact that Indigenous peoples continue to face today as a result of the residential school system. In addition, we encourage people to wear an orange shirt to stand in solidarity. 🧡
In recognition of today, the University of Alberta will be closed.
