Our parent group does a lot more than fundraising; our meetings are filled with creativity, camaraderie, inspiration and laughter, but let’s face it, without passionate people to execute, we are only able to do so much for the school and our students. 🏫

That’s where YOU come in! We’re seeking upbeat, detail-oriented parents to brainstorm, assist and coordinate our event and fundraising efforts this year.

If you can think on your feet, have incredible ideas, and want to be part of a great team, we would love to have you join us at our meeting on Thursday! Come get to know us, and join in on making this year one for the books!

Hot lunches are back, and that means that there is one less lunch to pack each month! 👏

Interested in volunteering your time but only have a couple hours a month? It takes 2-3 volunteers each lunch date to get the lunches organized and distributed to the classrooms. Send us a message if this might be a fit for you!

In 1980 Terry showed us what courage, compassion and determination look like. Today that example is needed more than ever and we are inspired to join 4,000,000 Canadian students who are leading the way. By fundraising for innovative research our school community is literally changing the lives of Canadians facing cancer.

Our annual Terry Fox run is taking place on Monday, September 28 and our school has set a fundraising goal of nearly $7,000! With that, please find the RMA fundraising link in our bio as we join the efforts to raise money for cancer research. Thanks to your donation, we’re driving cancer research forward, faster than ever.

Terry started a marathon against cancer and together, we can “Finish It”.

Remember when we raised $94,000? 👀

You might be wondering “What happened to fundraising last year?”
Well, school fundraising works in cycles.

🎰 2 years ago = Casino Year → $94,000 raised
💰 Last year = Non-Casino Year → $11,600 raised
🎰 THIS YEAR = Casino Year again!

That $94K doesn’t mean we suddenly have a chance at $94K every year. Casino fundraising happens on a two-year cycle, which means the non-casino years rely on all those everyday fundraisers, events, donations and sales like the $5 popcorn.🍿 However, we are heading into our next big Casino Year, which means BIG potential for our school.

But here’s what we need from our school community: Volunteers. Because a Casino doesn’t magically organize itself. Neither do school events, fundraising campaigns, classroom supports or all the little things that make a difference for our kids.

You don’t have to volunteer every week or become a full-time school parent.

Maybe you can help at one event.
Maybe you can join us once a month.
Maybe you want to join the board.
Maybe you can give a few hours at the Casino.

Every bit helps.

And honestly? The best part of volunteering isn’t just the money we raise, it’s knowing that we’re all pitching in to make our kids’ school a little bit better. 💙

You don’t need to have tons of free time.
You don’t need to know what you’re doing.
And you definitely don’t need to be a “PTA-type” person. 😉

You just need to be willing to pitch in.
