Bonnie Doon Playschool

There is something special about getting our hands in the soil, slowing down, and connecting with the land.

Today, our little learners began planting our Three Sisters Garden with the help of Ms. Christine, our wonderful friend from the Idylwylde Community League. We learned about the Indigenous teaching of the Three Sisters, corn, beans, and squash, and how each plant helps the others grow.

We started by planting the corn, and once it has grown tall and strong, Ms. Christine will return to help us plant the beans and squash so our garden can continue to grow together, just as the Three Sisters do.
