I love to instruct genealogy workshops! I have been instructing at the City of Edmonton, Central Lions Recreation Centre for 20 years! I take a light-hearted approach to genealogy and have brought my workshops to Public Libraries and Historical Societies in and outside of Edmonton. I currently have three courses, Introductory Genealogy, Internet Genealogy and an Introduction to DNA. If you are looking for a presenter, I would love to come and teach a workshop for your organization.

This man was the whole reason why I started Genealogy. My Father was a pilot and died in a plane crash right after I was born. My Mother re-married and refused to tell me much about him. I found I had a hole in my heart, so I found my Father through searching for documents and it was my way of getting to know him. Because of him, I am a Professional Genealogist today! You may not know it from my surname of RAE, but I am Ukrainian from on both sides of the family. My Father's surname was DYCZAKOWSKY and my Mother's surname was WOLOSHZYN. I understand the pain of researching for an Eastern European family in Canada. It can take months to find somebody due to names being anglicized, and variations from document to document.
