We have been working on a project proposal to host the "NMUN Canada 2017" Banff Alberta, to be held at the Banff Centre.
- Yesterday the proposal was successfully accepted by the board of National Model United Nations (NMUN)

The conference will focus on topics that surround the areas of UN Declaration of Rights of Indigenous Peoples and how it closely ties to the TRC, and discussions on climate and its ties to economics and culture.

- we are Inviting International delegates from across Canada, Brazil, United States, Japan, Australia, Scotland to name a few.

- Special and unique to this conference, Dawn Marie Marchand Curate an Indigenous Peoples Gallery: with Paintings, Sculptures, Stories, and language from across the globe.

I have the pleasure of organizing a new committee to host a National Model United Nations Conference in Banff in November 2017.
We will have UN sessions on UNESCO where they declared Banff a world heritage site, and we can look at environmental issues like the melting of the Columbia Ice Fields.
The Economic and Social Council has the committee UN Permanent Forum on for Indigenous Issues. Which is great timing with all the changes happening from the outcome of the Truth and Reconciliation Committee.
This is an amazing opportunity to host a gathering of 500 international delegates, gathering and sharing ideas unique to each situation.

The Indigenous Recommendations we made to the board of Governors for Concordia University of Edmonton were passed onto the executive committee which meets on the 14th.

Prime Minister Trudeau was talking today about building strategies from the ground up rather than the top down.
This is how we developed the recommendations.

Today we completed our second student talking circle and 6th talking circle total so far at Concordia University of Edmonton and I would like to thank everyone who were apart of the talking circles and the valuable information provided.

We have listened to you and are continuing to listen to more community members to help us develop a strong and appropriate Indigenous Strategy for Concordia.

We are holding our first set of Dialogues to gather information to help us successfully develop a Indigenous Strategy for Concordia.

We have been working hard on gathering contacts to help develop an Indigenous Strategy for Concordia University of Edmonton.
If you are interested in being a part of this process, as we will be hold a series of dialogues and talking circles in the coming weeks.
We are looking to have a page and twitter account soon as an extension of this project.

Lately, I have been volunteering my time on the board of directors as Vice Chair for Clean Scene Network for Youth. We help youth live and have a choice of leading a clean addiction free life. We have three main pillars in which Clean Scene works: mentorship (giving youth a view and perception of what is and what can be), education (educating all those who can benefit from understanding addiction), and advocacy (working with youth in the courts).

From my brief time with Clean Scene Network for Youth I have gained a lot of knowledge and come to have a better understanding of Addiction.

My first Project I am working on as 4FAKT Consulting is as a communications director for an Indigenous Youth in the Trades Conference.
This is a national conference where we plan on gathering 500 Indigenous Youth from across Canada to attend this great event at Fantasy Land Hotel and Conference Centre on April 1-3.

We have a special guest, Mike Holmes as one of our special keynote presenters.
