Edmonton Christian Schools

Edmonton Christian Schools We offer a comprehensive Christian education using the Teaching for Transformation framework, blending the Alberta curriculum with a Christian worldview.

Focused on identity formation as Jesus' disciples, we prioritize faith, learning, and service. The Edmonton Society for Christian Education has provided inter-denominational, Christ-centred education in the Edmonton area since 1949 and has partnered with Edmonton Public Schools since 1999. Edmonton Christian Schools currently serves over 1,500 students at three locations. Our mission: Responding to God's grace, Edmonton Christian Schools challenge students, through Christ centred education, to actively play their role in God's story. Edmonton Christian Schools offer a comprehensive Christian education with teachers and staff from diverse denominational backgrounds. Our Teaching for Transformation (TfT) framework, integrating the Alberta curriculum within a Christian worldview, emphasizes identity formation as both learners and disciples of Jesus. We prioritize faith, learning, and service integration throughout the curriculum, emphasizing accountability and reconciliation over punishment through biblically-based restorative practices.

As we look ahead to the new school year, we’re sharing some bittersweet transitions in our admin team. This fall, ECNS Assistant Principals Clint and Sibin will be moving on to new roles outside of Edmonton Christian Schools. We are deeply grateful for their behind-the-scenes dedication and lasting impact on our community, and we pray for God’s blessings on their next chapters!

At the same time, we are absolutely thrilled to welcome Vicki and Alex to the team! We can't wait to see how they will use their gifts to serve our community.

to the beginning of the year when the art students at the Northeast School were tasked to create individual pieces of art. These pieces are small, some colourful and some in black and white.

The magic happened when their teacher brought them together for a huge, high-impact piece of art covering the whole front wall of the classroom. It turned into a powerful statement: what we do alone may feel small, but when we bring our unique, God-given gifts together in fellowship, our individual efforts harmonize into a monumental collective impact.

Thank you to the Northeast School for this great lesson and reminder!
