🐾 GREAT JOB, CUBS! ❤️

Today, our Nellie Carlson Cubs came together for our Terry Fox Run, walking and running in honour of Terry’s incredible legacy of courage, hope, and perseverance.

We are so proud of our students, staff, and families for helping us continue Terry’s dream. Every step matters, and together, our Cubs are making a difference in the lives of our community. ❤️🇨🇦

Way to go, Cubs! Together, we can make a difference! 🐾

At Nellie Carlson School, Truth and Reconciliation is an ongoing journey of learning, listening, reflecting and building respectful relationships.

Throughout September, students will explore Indigenous histories, cultures, stories and perspectives; learn from Métis author Naomi McIlwraith; complete paw reflections for our collaborative foyer display; and consider how kindness, respect, courage and empathy can be our superpowers.

On September 29, students and staff are encouraged to wear orange as we honour Survivors, remember the children who never returned home and affirm that Every Child Matters. 🧡
