Concordia University of Edmonton has played an important role in Alberta’s educational history since 1921. In 1987, Concordia began to awarding undergraduate degrees in the arts and sciences. Today, Concordia’s undergraduate (Bachelor) degree offerings include over 45 majors and minors in the fields of Arts, Science and Management. These degree may be augmented through several graduate certificate and diplomas which are offered by Concordia in high demand areas.

“I think the beauty of using dance and movement is that it allows us to see the genuine emotions behind an individual. Watching someone express pure vulnerability is not something we encounter every day. I believe there is incredible power in witnessing someone share their emotions without saying a single word.”

Inspired by her Ukrainian heritage, CUE student Shaughnessy Potter, wrote and produced a powerful performance, 1932-1933: A Holodomor Story, as part of the 2026 Fine Arts Festival held at CUE.

Concordia University of Edmonton (CUE) is excited to announce that Dr. Jason Daniels, Interim Dean of Arts, has received an Insight Development Grant from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC).

Valued at $99,084 over two years, Dr. Daniels will research digital media use in children, adolescents, and young adults — a subject that is constantly in the spotlight as the digital world impacts our daily lives.

“Digital media is now part of how young people learn, socialize, relax, and understand themselves," says Dr. Daniels. "I am interested in understanding why the same technology can be manageable and beneficial for one person but disruptive for another."

Thunder Athletics is looking to hire students to work various part-time game day event roles. Experience in sports or events is an asset, but if you have a positive work ethic, and are willing to learn, we have a role for you! ⚡️

Thunder Athletics welcomes applications for the following positions:
- Score clock operators
- Shot clock operators
- Score sheet recorders
- Statisticians
- Live stream and camera operators
- Admissions attendants
- Concession attendants

All positions are roughly 6-12 hours per week, with most shifts being Friday evenings, Saturdays, or Sundays. You would be working these hours throughout the duration of the school year (September - March).

Concordia University of Edmonton (CUE) is excited to announce that Dr. Jinny Menon, Faculty of Education, has received an Insight Development Grant from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC) for work on artful and creative processes in the identity-making of youth of colour.

“My work is shaped by how peoples’ identities, cultures, and lived experiences inform their life, and the ways in which various systems (e.g., education, health care) can constrain or expand possibilities for belonging and care,” says Dr. Menon.
