This past weekend was our annual Wet Lab Skills Workshop at the University of Lethbridge, an opportunity for our Synthetic Biology teams to learn basic wet lab techniques and hands-on skills in a university environment. And by the looks of these photos, our participants had a great time!

On Saturday, April 14, four geekStarter robotics teams took part in a full day of mentorship and group activities designed to provide insight into how to take their research projects to market. Teams spent the day learning from and interacting with local entrepreneurs and robotics experts on what’s required to launch a successful startup.

It was a great day this past Saturday for our first Startup Workshop. Over 90 middle school, high school, and university students from across Alberta spent the day in collaborative, hands-on learning, including a mini Lean Startup workshop - where teams developed, refined and pitched a value proposition for a theoretical business - speed networking with entrepreneurs and venture capitalists, and more.
