Is your child new to the yellow school bus or ETS this fall, or in need of a refresher?
Join Edmonton Catholic Schools for First Riders: Learn to Ride the Bus, a free event where students and families can practise bus routines, learn safety basics, and take a short ride before the first day of school.
The event takes place on August 19 at Lumen Christi Catholic Education Centre from 2:00 PM to 6:30PM. Families attend one 45-minute session and must register in advance. Register here: ecsd.net/firstriders.

Catholic Education Week is celebrated May 9–15, 2026 and is a time to celebrate the gift of publicly funded Catholic education in Alberta. This year’s theme, Anchored in Christ, A Beacon of Hope, reminds us that our schools are rooted in Jesus Christ and called to be places of faith, clarity, compassion, and joy in a changing world.
At Edmonton Catholic Schools, we are grateful to serve more than 51,000 students through a mission‑centred education that inspires learning and calls students to serve God in one another. We give thanks for our students, families, staff, and parish partners who support Catholic education.
