Here’s the thing!
Knowing how to read would be great!
BUT if your child knows how to speak up and stand up for themselves they will be much more prepared to go to Kindergarten!
Being in a class with 19 other kids and one or two adults can sometimes cause students to retract and simply not speak up.
Some students don’t have any problems speaking up, but they might need support being clear or kind in how they speak to others.
Knowing what to focus on this summer to give your child the best start possible is important.

“mommy watch this” “come here”-one day it won’t be as often.

6. let them be your little helper
even if it slows everything down.
7. remember what makes them laugh right now
their humor changes so fast.
8. take a mental picture during a normal moment
not the big ones... the everyday ones.
9. notice how small their hand feels in yours
it won’t always be like that.
